I just reinstall HID kit from along with some type anti-flickering harness. The car won't start after that. Remote starter won't work either. Battery and everything else works fine. Seems like the ECU immobolization or fuse blown. I reisntall the OEM lights but nothing happen. :confused:WTF

hmmm, well if the battery has juice i'd have to say...check the fuses....perhaps a crucial fuse it toast and is preventing the jeep from starting???

Disconnect the HID kit.

Pull and check all fuses related to ignition ECM control.

Test the battery.

Make sure the battery cables are securely connected.

Which HID kit was this?

Hey CTH

They did sent me the antiflickering harness that was supposed to help resolve the flickering issues. They were just a harness that connects between the blast and the factory plug.
The car died instantly after I installed it. WTF.

How can you tell which fuse is blown? :(

You will need to go throught them one by one. It must ahve popped one of them for it to die like that.

Grab a test light, connect the gator clip to GROUND and check each fuse ( both sides of fuse) leave key in and on the "on" position... Or if you have a volt meter put it on OHM setting and check each fuse (once again both sides) and check for Continuity. Do you have any power at all inside the vehicle? What did you ground the HID harness too?

Its probably something real simple or a misplaced wire.

Please let us know which kit you installed - I am seriously considering a HID kit but do not want to get caught up in toublesome installs (just show a picture of the HID housing if you do not mind!)

Anyone know if this has been resolved ? I find it hard to believe a direct short in the headlamp circuit would cause this !! There has to be more to it and I hope he didn't have it towed to the stealer. They will bend you over when they find out the problem was due to a mod.

Not sure which kit you got but if it is off ebay they send me capacitor packs and said they were the "relays" i needed to not flicker. Needless to say i told them i needed the relay harness and they sent me more capacitors. In the end i made my own for like 10 bucks and everything worked fine.

On topic when i tried using the capacitors they blew a fuse and my car wouldnt start, switched the fuse, used the relay harness, everything perfect now. It has been a while but i think it was a yellow fuse possibly a 10.

I think you nailed it. But which fuse? I've tried ignition and starter already.

I had the same thing happen to mine after that BS sh!t they send. NOTHING worked. I forget which fuse box under the hood but there are (3) 10 amp fuses in a row (red). I blew two of them. They are seperate from the other fuses and are in a horizontal ( <----> ) direction when looking at them. Disconnect that POS "flicker" fix and replace the fuses.

I agree...the capacitors on the cheap ebay kits suck, as does the kit as a whole, IMO.

Alright car is up and running again.
The capacitor they sent with kits instantly blew out two 20 Amps fuse (yellow) incapacitated the car.
1) Front Module Control #1- effecting the headlights and the wipers.
2) Front Module Control #2 -effecting the ignition or starter.
