Hi, I have a 2006 Jeep SRT8 heavily modded. I am looking to get Collectors Plates through the state of Ohio and I need documentation from the manufacturer that the vehicle was in limited production or is in demand as a collectible vehicle at the time of application. So my question is where can I get the documents or info I need to send to the Ohio BMV. If I can't find this info then I have to send them in Pictures and Reciepts proving that my car is a collector. Main reason for getting Collector's Plates is to avoid the damn E-Check, which is rediculous in the first place. My county has E-Check but most of the surrounding counties don't have it. So any help would be greatly appreciated. I always wondered why the Jeep didn't come with a Certificate or some type of document showing its Collectability like some other vehicles I've seen. Thanks and Take Care.

Keep us posted! We have a similar law here for a "custom" car. A modified jeep wouldn't slide in under that catagory :(

i dont think you will find that type of documentation.
there is no number plate. Jeep has/will make as many as they can sell.
i have been wrong before, I would PM 'resume speed' if anyone has access to the info would be him.

Bro where are you at in Ohio?? I live in Strongsville about 15min from Cleveland.. All 05 and newer are exempt from e-check in Ohio.. I've had mine with no issues at all? And yes I do have the o2's turned off to prevent my CEL. I have never had to get e-check on the jeep..?

Where in Ohio? You must live in a county that doesn't require it.. Just got done talking to Mike and he said anything over 4yrs old requires it.. Uhh ohh I'm f'd right now lol. The only thing left to do is register it under "truck" plates. (They don't require e-check)

I live in Toledo (Lucas County). My WS6 is 11 years old and I just renewed my plates on-line, so we must not have it here. Either that or since I have owned the car for 10 yrs I might be exempt.
I normally get rid of a car before it is 4 yrs old and buy a new one, the only exception is my garage queen.
