Does anyone have a link of what the top speed is and not the rev limited 155mph, looking for true top speed. Can't find anything concrete, only speculations.

Hi everyone, may name is David from the Las Vegas area. I have (so they say) the seventh production model built and now have close to 7,000 miles on my black SRT8 GC. I call it Night Rider. I have Flow Master exhaust 3" and a K&N Filter.I have also removed the resonators behind the rear axle (DO IT). It has a chrome front ir dam and also a rear spoiler, along with the side air deflectors. It has gone 163 MPH and has ran over 140 MPH probably more than 50 times in 4th. I used 110 octane racing fuel to achieve the 163 mark. I could have went facter.
Break in period? I waited 100 miles to take it to 150. I run this fire breathing beast pedal to the medal all the time. No tickets yet. : )

There is no top speed (rev) limiter on our Jeeps.

I know there is not a limiter but still cant go 170

I'm sure you could use a calculator with the gear ratios to find a theoretical top speed.

correct me if im wrong but when iv used my diablo tuner on the car, and goto set speed limit (or some function like that) it shows me a figure equivalent to 270 km/hr and thats what iv touched on the jeep. I couldnt do more as i didnt have enuf road but i think i could easly pass that. ill try settin it higher with the diablo and post again sometime soon.

I've heard under perfect conditions she'll do 168.

I know that my redline has been raised... forged motor, lightweight rods and pistons... wondering what she'll do with stocker transmission and 3.70 gears in the rear.

Theoretically I think it works out that at 6400rpm in 5th you would be traveling 172mph.

Dont you hate it when passenger's start to freak out at high speeds. Especially the females, start smacking you at 130 mph telling you to slow down. That was in a corvette I rented.

I don't know how 'Aerodynamic' you guys are but with 310rwhp my top speed is just above/at the 170 mark...I can't imagine you guys being able to reach those speeds stock even with the power you make. Just freaking insane to imagine something that big moving that fast....Wow

The US firmware is limited to 170.......Export is limited to 180.....Diablo can move it to 190.

Sorry, it drives me NUTS when a SIMPLE search of "Top Speed" shows pages of the same info as here.
We are smarter than this to keep rehashing this and thermostats etc!:mad:
