With the local jeep dealer closed (Sunnyvale), I am trying to find a local dealer to do routine maintenance and warranty work. Calling the other local dealers, it has been difficult to get a hold of anyone to talk with. I actually drove down to one of the dealers to talk to someone in person to get 30k maintenance quote. He came back with an estimate of $1k! Going through the list, he started with "change spark plugs". I explained that was not part of the normal service for the SRT8 at 30k...anyway, you get the idea. Does anyone have a good dealer and service adviser in the Bay Area that knows what a jeep SRT8 is and you trust to do the work and charge a fair price? Thanks!

Following up on my own post, local dealer would like
$299 for replacement of front+rear disc+rotors (I supply the parts)
$499 to for fluid replacement of front+rear axle and diff. I asked why so expensive, this should be like an oil change. He explained that they need to pull them apart to get all the liquid out and inspect. I said what is the price if they use the drain plugs? Answer: Well then how would we drain and fill with the one plug? I explained to use both the drain plug and the fill plug. No discount for this approach, still $499. Unbelievable, looks like I need to go to an independent shop... Seems like an independent shop couldn't do worse...? Thoughts? Any recommendations? Did I miss something?

If you close to East Bay, Fremont you can take it to our shop. We will take car of you. Even that we don't specialize in particular car, but i guarantee we do very good work. We service couple GTO, one of them is Twin Turbo, EVOs, Power Wagons, Rubicons and so on. All of those guys can go to specialize shop but they come to us because of a great service. And local Jeep Dealer just closed so closest one from here would be Dublin. Our site: www.leadfootautomotive.com
