Whats up guys, My name is Edin, and I'm new to the site. I have a question regarding emploee pricing on the Jeep SRT-8. My brother-n-law works for Daimler/Chrysler and gets employee pricing. I just called a local dearler about leasing a new Srt8 and he told me there is no employee pricing discount on the jeeps. It made no sense to me beacause another local dealer gave me the employee pricing on a new 300CSRT-8. Being that they are essentailly the same product, by the same company, there should be no reason at all not include the Jeep. My question is, Is there or Isn't there employee pricing on the Jeep SRT-8? Is this guy jerking me around? And also, for all you that may be leasing theirs, what are you paying monthly?

Thanks,Edin

Not sure on the EMPY pricing, I believe there are a lot less of the Jeeps made in comparison to the LX cars. This could be why. Most of the special programs, i.e. discounts, lease specials do not apply to the Jeep SRT or LX SRT vehicles.
I am not 100% but i know i have heard this on commercials.

I bought mine out right. I thought about leasing but the payments were very high. These Jeep do not lease well, actually most specialty vehicle do not lease well.

I agree, when I was shopping for lease quotes, one dealer accidentally quoted me on a 300SRT8. The payment was 300-400 less per month than the Jeep.
When doing my research, I asked why the difference, they responded that there were far fewer Jeeps made and the demand was higher for the Jeeps and lower for the other SRTs.
This is what THEY told me, whether or not it is true...

EP is not currently offered on the GCSRT8. However, last year the 06's were offered at EP for 2 months (June and July) at which point I bought mine for $5K under MSRP.

I guess I'll wait for mid summer. My brother-n-law said that he was told that if there is a dealer that does not want to take employee pricing, that he should file a complaint with Daimler/Chrysler. I really want one, I currently have a C6 corvette and this would be the ultimate compliment car. I guess I'll just wait awhile. keep me posted with any info you guys should hear. Thanks,Edin

There is no reason to file a complaint with Chrysler on this issue. It is the most desired product they make. There are no deals or discounts to be had. Pay whatever it takes to get a hold of an 07' it is worth every penny.

I wasnt saying that I was going to complain to Chrysler about it. I'm just telling you what his(my brother-n-law)boss told him. I dont want to get ripped off by some dealer that thinks its a hot item and they can jerk me around with prices. Around here there are plenty sitting in dealer lots. I just want the best price I can get.

I believe its better then invoice by a little bit, and I'm not too sure about the holdback.

Leasing at current rates is nothing but kooky.

I wouldnt doubt it. When do you expect the rates to be good?

The dealer faxed his sheet on pricing, the EP is not available...I paid invoice for my 07'.

MSRP 45,380
Hold back 1,341
Invoice 42,169
Employee Pricing 40,410

When the decision makers decide to subsidize money factors in order to move cars. Or when they have more data that shows really strong residual values on used ones. So my guess is prolly never.

I've owned 4 other GC's and a Durango. All EP pricing, but they wouldn't do it for the SRT8. I bought mine at CarMax and it wasn't a huge difference. They definitely came off sticker though.

If you are a DC empoyee or very close relative you should be able to get EP pricing. It's not available to the general public. It's excellent, but Don @ Champion ain't far off of it, and he's eager to help everybody.

The EP is on the invoice, and I've been quoted EP prices for 2007s.

If the*&%$# 2008's had a price I'd know what the EP is for those too.

Anyone with an E.P. number or an affiliates number gets their pricing through me. I hate the games all these other idiots play! You do have that number for a reason, and it is valid on any Chrysler product!!

I work at Chrysler and could get employee pricing on all SRT's except for the GC... So I had to pay. Of course it doesn't help when they only ship like 100 of these for all of Canada.....

Is the same true for the "Employee Choice" program?
