Well I opened my big fat mouth and am getting called out so here it goes

To premise this

I'm a little hesitant to post up because I don't consider it a legit track, it was at Homestead Motorsports Complex on pit lane and only 1/8. The timing system is only like a week old and I heard it is not dialed in yet as they are still figuring it out.

I wasn't hooking worth a crap and my 60's aren't that great I had two new tires put on in the morning so they didn't even have 100 miles on them. Also was running my tire pressure to high. I had a better 60ft (1.74) with just bolt ons. This was the first time I have really gotten on it with the new motor because I just got the bushing fixed Thursday and a have been babying it as not to damage anything more.

There is very little track prep as they don't want to put anything down on the track. One lane is concrete the other asfault.

Heat and humidity where pretty high and it rained to boot, my intake temps where hitting 140-150deg.

I have not dialed in my wot, I am running Steve's tune but I'm sure it needs a little fine tunning to get it spot on.

Its the closest track to me and figured that was best in case something breaks so it was more of a test run for me.

I truly wasn't going for time slips as I want to get to PBI for a true 1/4 time, my main goal was just to get it down a track and see how she feels and she felt good. I just found out this week they were giving slips, before that they where arm drop racing.

Not trying to make excuses but If I was really looking for time slips I would have done quite a few things differently and think this is all relevant info as I anticipate better times to come.

So here it goes

1.77-60ft
7.77-1/8
90.25-Mph

This was, like I said, at Homestead Motorsports Complex at 8:26 on Fri if anyone wants to correct it.

The Jeep got tons of respect out there, actually had a guy come up and hug me Jeep  That's a first but He was pretty cool. Also had a cop come up to me and I was like oh great what did I do, but he was really into the Jeep to and told me he had a the SRT10 truck.

Thanks for posting, the point is to have fun, if you cant enjoy what you got whats the point!! These beasts need alot of seat time especially when you add power.

A 7.7 is nothing to be ashamed of. Sounds like you had a great time. My first run with the Vortech I ran a 8.9. :D

Not ashamed at all but you know how it goes here when you post times

I really wasn't even going to post them because to me this is like going to a street race and having a guy with a stopwatch give you your time or using the dashhawk

I don't trust new timing systems, I had one tell me I lost when I had the better time and didn't redlight  I if don't think the times are accurate why post them?

Those times are respectable for how you explain the track. If you want good track prep and a proper timing system then hit up Gainesville with us in a few weeks. I know Harryballz wanted to go sometime soon in October.

I would da the run but cant find the ALTITUDE of the drag strip. If i find the altitude ill DA the run and nice run but i also think theres more in your set up. Theres a guy out here on west coast that has same set up and runs 7.40s@92+ with a race wt of 5150 lbs.

Nice write up Joel and I think those times are fairly respectable. I was cross referencing your times with other timeslips and even dragtimes.com and your 1/8th mile times look to be in the 11.9-12.1 time range.
Dial it in and some better track conditions and you should be looking at hi-11s especially if you start hitting Jim's prediction (7.4-7.5 at 91/92 ?= 11.7-11.8?) SWEET.

Your tune needs to be dialed in. Your time is definetly in the low 11's and your MPH is close to 116. My 1/8 averages 11.4-11.5@91-92. Your in the hunt. Now we just need to work on the tune with Bob.

Looks about where you should be. High 11s with those times. No caveats and excuses needed. You're running at the track and apparently having fun doing it. Sounds like you're doing it right.

Had 1 hell of a time to but went to the address and got the lat and long and it gave the elevation of 5 ft abl. The track is a nascar raceway and they never give altitude lol.

Its on the short list, I just got the front end fixed last Thursday so I really haven't been able to go wide open as the front differential was flopping around

Those times look great to me...I'm sure with a lil practice and some fine tuning you'll be where you wanna be. I went to that track when they were doing the arm drop thing...lol. The only good thing about it was the SUPER hot chick doing the arm drop...damm she was hot.
