I'v had my GC for about 5 days: less than 250 miles on the clock.

I have what I thought was a faulty tire pressure sensor because it would sometimes show dashes on the dash indicator......now I my RR tire tire keeps losing air. Pressured it up last night and flat again this morning.:(

Dealer issue or my issue?? Also, I read somewhere on here that the dealer may not be the best place to take it in to get these tires checked.

Any help would be appreciated. TIA.

Someone else was talking about the same thing (kind of) a few topics down. Maybe this will help.

If you are losing air slowly then it might be a loose valve stem nut. Several people on here have had that problem when new and you can fix this yourself. I had a nail in a tire at 500 miles and my local Discount Tire (an authorized EMT dealer) repaired it under the EMT road hazard warranty. My dealer took it over to the tire store for me when the Jeep was in for other warranty work.

Finally got a chance to take some soapy water and spray down the tire. It has a small leak that appears to be coming from under the tread...

The dealer said I could either bring it in or take off the wheel myself and just bring in the wheel/tire. I'm thinking I will just take the GC in and have the TSB for the digital tire pressure readout done at the same time.

If I decide to take the wheel off myself, is there anything different about removing this wheel as opposed to other vehicles?? Just curious because of the pressure sensors....TIA.

Removing the rim, no, Removing the tire from the rim, much care is needed. One due to the sensor, two because of the Runflats. You need to make sure the Goodyear dealer is a "run flat" dealer. My Goodyear dealer put a hole in the sidewall while removing to check for the TSB.

My Discount Tire Dealer replaced my tire also with a nail in it free. A new tire not patched, The GY Dealer said they would only repair these tires not replace them. DT can get by with it as they are GY biggest customer. Removing the wheel isn't rocket science at all, torque the wheel nuts to 105 ft lbs. GL Gene
