A buddy told me about Royal Purple oil, said its the best you can get. Anyone else hear about / use this brand?
Thanks for any info/advice

It's the best for racing (supposedly) with their secret additives or whatever the hell they put in there, I used it in my RT for a year and switched to Mobil1 full synthetic and the results were the same, RP didn't change jack, except for making my wallet lighter.

They are located here in Texas I actually have 2 good friends that work for them now to say they are the BEST is like me saying Amsoil is the best because that is what i use, most opinions on oil are given by people who have never tried or tested the other so I leave you with this. Yes Royal Purple is a good oil but you need to find a synthetic oil that is a real class III FULL synthetic, Mobil 1 is classified by law as a Class III but is not a real full synthetic as to where RP, Amsoil and Redline are. Equally important is your oil fitler.

I do not feel you gain anything from changing oils unless you are going from a non synthetic to a synthetic oil. IMO...

They are just speculating and never say that is what RP is doing.

I'm about due for an oil change and have been looking at Amsoil, looks as if it will run me about $90 for the oil/filter and shipping. I also saw that Advanced is offering a special on Mobil one which would end up costing about half of what the Amsoil will cost.
