Right? I am just looking to at least not make it sound all blown. the stocks sound good for now , just the rattle of that rear blown one drives me nuts.

search for some of the other threads. the big problem with "plug and play" is that we run a 2 ohm amplifier in the stock set up and most after market speakers are 4 ohms so there is a decibel loss. Infinity makes some stuff you can swap out directly, I swapped the in dash speakers with their reference line. I think the Kappa's get slightly louder as you can give them a +3 db boost, so that might be a better choice. Get a mono amp and a decent sub and your stock speakers are more then loud enough, trust me. its the easiest solution for better sound quality and much more volume, as the speakers don't need to carry the bass load.

It's tough to find a simple "plug and play" speaker with a OEM system. I've never had a OEM system in my Jeep so I couldn't even tell you what the OEM speakers look like. Either replace it with a OEM speaker which you can find pretty easily I would think, or, change them all out. I've only heard one OEM system in BigSadlers Jeep and I have to say I'm kinda impressed for a factory system. It's not THAT bad. I've heard much worse from the factory! I bought a brand new $50K 2004 F-250 Harley Edition and I was appalled by the factory system. Be happy with what came with it! I'd post a WANTED ad in the For Sail(:D) section looking for OEM speakers.

get the kicker upgrade - that works with the stock system. its noticeably better. you get the surround sound amp. all 6 speakers. even a sub or two if you like...........

if you shop around you can do the amp and speakers for less than 500. of course install is extra. the dual subs add substanially to the cost, so I skipped those for now........

You are probably still in warranty. Take it to the dealer and have them replace it for free.
