My opinion is that they SUCK...i had magnaflow and i did not feel a difference in performance and even sound...i Got B&B and i was 100% satisfied....

I agree the B&B is a nice system

Almost every SRT-10 Ram owner on the other board including me used Magnaflow and had no complaints about sound or workmanship. What's so different about the Magnaflow set-up for the GC?? ...aside from the obvious of being less expensive.

They deffenetly should of did a better job on the piping...i feel that they rush to make a complete exhaust system for the gc srt8 because it was not a good exhaust system at all and normally i am happy with magnaflow they make very good exhaust systems but not the exhaust for the GC SRT8...the performance and sound did not satisfy me at all!!!

I have the B&B system, slightly louder than stock but a GREAT sound. Corsa'a sound funny during transmission shifts, sort of a farty sound. I have the Corsa'a on my SSR. (Not many options for the SSR)
Most Corvette people go with Borla, B&B and Corsa. Ihave Borla on my 2000 Vette and B&B on my ZR-1. Both have good sound with reasonable interior resonance.
The Corsa does have an X or crossover pipe and the B&B is mirror polished. Both have good exhaust tips which is what every body else sees.

See, I've had the exact opposite experience. I've put magnaflows on my past 2 vehicles, only to take them off after a few hundred miles. This one I love. The sound is different (not necessarily louder) than stock. No drone and the workmanship was flawless on mine. All polished and gorgeous. I guess it all depends what you like and what you read, review wise. If comparing the magnaflows to the B&B, there is no question, in this consumers mind. After seeing all the B&Bs go back up for sale and the threads about them falling apart at the welds, I'd never buy a B&B.

B&B is not even on the same level as Magnaflow. If you bought a B&B system, you got ripped off, plain and simple. B&B does not make any more power than the magnflow, and personally i like the magnaflow sound better as well.

I had the B&B and it sounded ok...I saw everyone's cracking and I got rid of it pronto...I felt a little difference in HP and Tq but nothing worth mentioning...I ordered the Magnaflows because the special on the Zoomers was gone and I heard one with the Kooks and the Magnaflows...sick!!! The oval tips look better too!!! If this doesn't do it for me it will be for sale too and the new Zoomers will get the nod for weight savings alone!!!

Dont know. Dont care...Want a couple..

I LOVE magnaflow..I have heard them on quite a few vehicles including my previous rides. I LOVE the sound. It is IMO a classier sound. It still IMO sounds MEAN. I am not into the obnoxious sound thing. I hate DRONE. I drive on long trips once a month and the drone that other exhausts give drives me crazy.

Magnaflow sound is a more mellow deep sound that has a good rumble to it. It is refined when you drive normal but completely ROARS when you get on it.

I prefer the magnaflow sound with some High flow intake mods...The combo is killer

and remember that is just MY opinion.

What grade of stainless steel does Magnaflow use on their SRT8 system? Perhaps this is the reason?

Huh? What's "the good SH*T"?

Similar to gold, which has varieties of 14 karat, 24 karat, hollow gold plated etc. there are also different grades of stainless steel.

Also similar to gold, there is a dramatic difference in quality between grades of stainless steel and most importantly relative to this question, price.

Does anyone know what grade of stainless steel Magnaflow uses on their tubing and pipes, or for the internal components of their mufflers? What grade of stainless steel welding wire do they use for this system? If we can get an answer to these questions we might be able to figure out why Magnaflow is "so cheap" as the title of this thread asks.

I think Magnaflow uses 409 SS.

B&B's mufflers have been known to crack at the welds...otherwise I would have purchased them...they look sweet. Borla is a beautiful system too, but for my car the diameter of the piping seems to be the same as the stock pipe and with more mods on the way, don't know about that.

Sorry to jump on someone else's post, but does this mean you can do $600 or so? PM if you don't want to post here. Thanks.
