I was cleaning the brakedust from Maggie yesterday, and I noticed that my bright red front brake calipers were losing the clearcoat from the top about 1/3 of the way down.
Is this normal?
Where can I get some sort of high temp clear to fix?
I'm expecting the same thing to happen to my Jeep, so I want to be prepared.

What did you use to clean them? I bought a set of front red calipers and the clear coat bubbled and was peeling too. :(
I'd suggest going to the dealer and get a replacement.

I've never used anything but soap and water during car washes. It actually looks like heat is doing it.
