I am very interested in getting a SRT8. I want the new blue but nobody seems to have them in my area. I was even told the color is discontinued on the SRT8. Is this true? Does anyone have a pic of a blue SRT8?

There's a blue '07 that just showed up on the lot at Thompson Chrysler Jeep in Edgewood, MD.

I know it's a little far away, but Momentum Jaguar/Volvo here in Houston just got one the other day. It has the Mopar CAI and Mopar/Corsa cat-back.

I just saw one today in Thousand Oaks, Ca. 1st time seeing the blue in person (I liked it). Problem is, they wanted 56K for it

I'm so tired of dealers marking up just becuase they "think" they can get away with it.

SBM is new for '07 so I highly doubt it's been discontinued. Did a stealer tell you that? Probably so they could sell you the color they had on the lot. Clink on the GC linky and you can see a lot of pics of my SBM. Good luck!

Thank you everyone for your input.....:D

Yes, a dealer did tell me that the color was discontinued. He was probably trying to sell me on the silver.
OurZoo your pics rock. I love the floor mats. Tell me please...How much faster does the GC feel over the Charger?

Considerable difference on launch. Much more of a neck jerker. I love them both though.

Sweet! Thank you. I envy anyone who has TWO SRT8's. Any big pros or cons for each? So if you had to chose one????:D

I had 2 Jeep SRT's and now a Bee. The Jeeps take it from a stop, the LX's from a roll...but that is just my opinion ....While I really liked the Jeep, I love the Bee. My wife even wants to drive the Bee, where as she did not even want to ride in the Jeep due to the harshness over bumps and not the best roads. Either way, you will love it. I got the Jeep because of the Chicago weather (snow, rain) and it handled it great. I had to swap out my F1's on the Bee for R-SA's and they were pretty decent the last snowfall we had.

There is a 07 Steel Blue with around 3,000 miles at Rohrman Chrysler-Jeep in Buffalo Grove with Sunroon, Navi, and Option Package 1.

Orahh Devil Dog. This is the info I was looking for. Thanks for the feedback on the differences between the two. I was looking at the GC for the AWD in the Chicago winters. I'll give Rohrman a call on Monday as well. Thanks so much.

Let me know after Rohrman an Schaumburg wont deal on them how they should..... An when you go to Schaumburg talk to Eddie Deppen. He is a sales manager there. Tell him you talked to Don Conrad an he will take care of you.

If all that fails.....yes I can get you a Blue one

PMFJI, does anyone know if steel blue is easier to care for than black. I was going to go for a black one, but I like the blue ones too, and if it's a little easier to care for, and doesn't show swirl marks as much, I'll probably go that route.

Thanks.

Champ, what do you mean Rohrman will not deal? I got my first 07 SRT from them in August and it was for 1000 over invoice which was not bad, and a 7 year Maxi care for 1300. When I traded it in on another Jeep SRT several months later, he allowed me 500 less than what I paid for it. Your prices are good, but no need to knock anyone when you do not have all the info. If you go to Rohrman, you ask for Frank Barnes the General Manager.

Its easier than black, but not as easy as Silver.

Now, Detonator Yellow is the easiest.

Thanks shodanusmc. I know silver is easy to keep clean. I can't make up my mind between steel blue or black. If I knew that steel blue didn't show swirl marks, I'd go for blue for sure. Oh well.

No color is impervious to swirl marks, but blue will show them less than the black.

Just my experience. I was car shopping with my wife yesterday. We went to Schaumburg Jeep to take a look at the blue one sitting outside. I asked the Internet Sales manager for a test drive and he told me that no one can go for a test drive unless I am willing to work with the numbers immediately. I completely understand how u don't want joyriders but how can you buy a car without at least test driving it (unless you know for fact you want it). Anway, I go to Range Rover literally accross the street and they let us test drive 07 Range Rover Sport Supercharged with ZERO hassle. Motorwerkes also offered test drives on Cayenne Turbo S which I declined. BTW, they are selling an 06 turbo s(500+hp version) for $90's.

Thanks Alex, that true enough. Now that you mention it, I can recall seeing swirl marks on my silver T/A, but you have to look really closely, but black swirl marks are brutal. Glad to hear blue isn't as bad.

Now wait...blue is bad, but not as bad a black. Depending on how the sunlight hits it. ALso, the steel blue will appear different shades depending on the lighting conditions. One time I thought I had a gray Jeep, then Charcoal, then ...you get the point.

I like Motorwerks...their Service Dept is the best. Great waiting room, starbucks, and donuts. Got several cars from them, and my wifes X5 last year. Too bad they don't have a Jeep and Dodge service dept.

If they will not let me test drive, I will not buy. Rohrman Jeep and Dodge let me take all the vehicles I purchased for a ride, alone.

Guys - I really do appreciate all your help here. You guys are great. I will defiantely check out Schaumburg. Since you guys brought up deals. What is a good deal on GC SRT8's? The stickers I have seen have been between 43-47k. Would they come down to 40k?

I never said they wont deal.....I said they wont deal the way they should. It sounds like you definitely got hooked up there, an since it looks like you know the GM you should. But I know quite a few people that bought from me because I was at least $1500 cheaper than Rohrman. I personally know people at almost all of these stores an I will not knock them if I dont know what I am talking about.

Lets be honest here. Any dealership can sell for what you do. If they chose not to, thats their business decision. There are good dealerships, bad dealerships, and dealerships in between. In my 38 years of buying, I have discovered that the lowest price is sometimes not the best way to go.

How come you are not pushing the fact that you can buy a Charger SRT with a $2500 rebate untop of the discount. Still got any with the $500 auto show discount and any $250 coupons?
Champ, a lot also depends on what you allow for a trade in. No dealership will remain in business long if they are not profitable, regardless of how they work the books. If I recall before I bought my Bee, I PM'd you, and you would allow me all of $36,000 for my 07 with every option, including Navi and VES on a trade. Needless to say, Rohrman would allow me 41,000 on the trade. So you are $1000 less on the price of a new one, and $5000 less on the trade. Well, thats a $4000 swing against you, right? Anyway, I sold it to my son at the Dad discount. I guess it all works out. Good luck. I initially defended you. I have seen now that it was a mistake. I will stick with Rohrman.

You are right, any dealership can do what I do....but they dont. An I dont push anything on here, I wanted to let all of you know how I price the GCSRT's an if I come across a nice used one I post up. Anyone who has questions about pricing whether they buy from me or not gets an honest answer.
