Hello everyone. I have 2006 Jeep srt8 which many of you know shifts manually. I really dont like the way my jeep shifts. It doesnt have that sharp shift that will make the car jump on evey gear.
so my question is will this HPP upgraded tcm solve my problem? Did any of you guys use it?

From everything I have heard/read...it will NOT work
However from what it sounds like you are looking for a ValveBody from BuilderBill might help ya out some. Do some searching on the valvebody and see what ya think. CentralTexHemi did a pretty good write up on his valvebody

As Bill stated above, it did not work for me. Limp Mode after the install. Took it to the dealer to have the StarScan apply the VIN# to the TCM, and their Star Scan would "freeze", never allowing the VIN # to be inserted. They tried for over an hour, and then the dealer talked with Mopar Performance, and they clearly stated that the high performance TCM only works with the LX cars, and NOT the Jeep
Pieter
alternatively, consider BuilderBill's Gen 2 Valve Body. That's what I did!

Hmmm. Andy.
You must give Josh a KILLER price if he can RETAIL them for $315 (per his website)!!!!!!!
Seriously, it would help if Josh would update the website.
I know how busy he is though.:eek:

If I remember right, HHPs TCM have always worked on the (06) model jeeps. No others though.
He may need to update, not sure. In any case you can never go wrong with calling Josh and talking to him. He won't steer you wrong.
Im running Hennesseys TCM but I also put in builder bills valve body at the same time. I don't know which does what but it no longer 'shifts' it more like slams gears faster than you can say 'shift' at WOT.

Sorry, the Mopar TCM will NOT work on the Jeep.
Pieter above tried that.
