Just came back from the dealer with a heated discussion with the owner then the service manager. Cant even describe how ticked off I am, goin to contact my attorney first thing tomoro!

First off about a month and half ago I had a talk with the owner about paying for a new front bumper and have the rear one repainted because they cracked the front one and the rear one got scratched and has two dents in it. It looks like a truck lightley bumped into it and sent the liscense plate screws thru the rear bumper luckily without damaging the exhaust but also scratching the paint. The incident happened in March and have been trying to deal with the service manager but no success with that, obviously because its fkin Sept and nothing has been resolved. Anyways the owner said he'd talk to the Service Manger and get back to me about the body work well that was month and half ago. So today I went and talked with owner and he basicly said hes not paying for jack $hit because he has talked to the mechanics that worked on it and the people that drove it and none of them will admit to damaging it. Was so frusterated I could have smacked him but I said well i'm not paying for it either, thanks for your time and walked out!!

Then went and talked to the service manager about the last time I had the jeep in and why it wasnt documented correctly. The date that I dropped it off was incorrect(dropped it off June 23, picked up July 10: work order said July 3-10), the list I gave them of the probs was not on the work order nor were they looked at. He said he cant do anything about the dates as they are already logged in computer and cant be changed. He didnt have anything to say about why the list of probs I gave him were not documented on the work order nor were the looked at but said the were they same probs as the last work order and they are on that. Then he went on to say with a hell of an additude that hes sorry i'm not happy with the service and that he cant find anything wrong bla bla, then said he will not do any more service work on the jeep!! Can he even make a decsion like that?? I argued with him but was getting nowhere so I said thanks for your time and walked out

Had to vent guys!! Advice?

Derek

I don't think Corporate will do much since they will say "they are independent, set their own guidelines, and we can't make them do anything" so try another dealer.

I'll bet the dates were deliberately altered because of the damage.

+1.....Unfortunately this is most likely true, I've seen it first hand. Do not let them get away with it but for any further work find another dealer.

Yea corporate wont do anything about dealer. I'm going to take the dealer to court to make them pay for damage to jeep. Then have attorney deal with corporate to lemon Jeep. Yea I am dealing with a different dealer now but they are not close, 5 hrs away in the twin cities:( But only going there to fix rearend then sell jeep and eat my own loss if its not lemoned by then.

The damage occured in March. The dates altered were for the last time the jeep was in June 23-July10) which was NOT when damage occured.

Corporate is a joke... all they can do is take your complaint which Im sure that you have expressed to the deal and relay that same complaint back to them. I had a vortech on my 350z that the nissan dealership distroyed. They took it off to do a valve gasket replacement, and when reinstalling it kinked the oil line. I had to replace the unit. Nissan said it wasnt there fault and told me that they were going to have to have an investigator come in to check out what happened but at that point the charger was already at vortech for repairs. I confronted the owner they are the only ones that can do anything for you. After fighting with them for 2 months I finally got the money for the charger that I had to replace. I literally had to walk in on a meeting at the dealership and confront him with everyone there I was so pissed they tried to call the cops to stop me this guy avoided me for 3 weeks. He had wrote a check but refused to sign it. I walked up to him at told him " Im sick of your *&cking games I want my fu***ng money" I wouldnt let him leave until he drew his little scratches in the endorsement line, I f'n hate the dealerships.... Sorry to hear about your problems I also had a ton of body damage from them pushing it in and out and the damn porters not knowing how to drive stick.... Good Luck to you Give them hell make a scene thats what I did in the begining to get them to say they would fix it haha..

File and insurance claim and let them go after the dealership. Now you most likely signed something when you dropped the jeep off authorizing them to do service I would ask for that piece of paper it should have the right date on it. Have seen several cases like this and once the owners insurance company/attorneys got involved things got fixed. I would also make one more call back to the owner and explain to him you are turning him into Chrysler for falsefying documents with wrong dates.

We had this happen to a truck we brought in for service, they didnt want to cover the damage and when we asked to see the video survellence tapes they suddenly were willing to repair the truck. Just an idea. :)

^ Good idea. Get a lawyer involved and let him slip the word 'discovery' and you might have the same experience. ;)

Any business can tell you to buzz off, its usually not good but they have that right. As far as Lemon law goes in MN, its pretty much written to the manufactures benifit.
