: What was this Jeep?

Hey guys, so I was late for an appointment ths morning so I was hauling balls down the 101 South on the Scottsdale side of the loop (for the Phoenix people), when all of a sudden I came up behind a Jeep SRT8 with Oregon plates

Now this thing caught my eye for a couple of reasons: first, the chrome strip that houses the four back-up sensors was actually black/vinyl, the exhaust tips were larger and single wall, but it was not aftermarket exhaust - unless it was just the tips replaced (we were going about 80 so I think that's fast enough to notice an exhaust humming along).

Then, the biggest thing I noticed was the front fender, there wer fender vents. Not lame stick-on vents, and not those small Cadillac CTS vents, they reminded me of Ford F-250+ vents, large, half squar/triangle looking. It looks nice, but I was totally baffled. He had 22" wheels on it so I guess there's a chance that he's just done some other mods like the vents and exhaust tips, but the back-up sensor strip was the only thing that made me think it was some sort of SRT8 that left the facory like that.

Another thing is, it couldn't have been a '10 cuz it had the Oregon plates, not temporary tags and those things just hit production according to the other post right?

Son of a ***** man, that was it, it was lowered too...makes sense. Good find brotha! I didn't get a look at the grille, but it probably a good thing I probably would have thrown up all over my dash board.

Where did you come across this site B-WJ? Out of curiosity, how many companies are there that offer packages like that?

only one Co. and its local to you, (MXM.) one of the sales guys use to be a member on here. the Hi-Po version has some pretty sweet stats too. and no you cannot buy parts of the body package separately, which is pretty cool too.

They actually do! Go to their website...

But at $70K just for the N/A model, that's way too much coin for a little bling. But I have to admit - aside from the front grille and all those damn "MXM" emblems, it's one sharp ride!

UGH! this kills me! Don is a good guy, but if somebody would give me their Jeep and a blank check i would design and build the greatest Jeep out there, hands down!

I think so. At least one of the "Partners" is.

One of the partners is local you mean? I can't find a damn bit of info on their site.

Everything on their site suggests UK or European: 'lowered 40 milimeters,' 'Vredestein tyres'...but then it also says 'Wheel/Tire Packge,' so I dunno...

Anyone notice that they have a different hood? The indent is inverted so that it sticks up like a mini-cowl...and it's got vents towards the windshield.
