I want to share an experience I had with you guys,I went to the gym after 2 years not going and I met an old friend I havent seen in a while,As we were working out he told me he just got CLK55,I told him I just got the JGC SRT8, ya want to race,he started laughing!So he said he will race me after the gym,He was bragging on how fast his car is that im going to lose.So now im happy to finally have a real race.After the gym we went to the Jeep and he was impressed,He never seen one before.So I took him for a ride,after about 1 minute his face was white, He could not believe how fast it was for a suv,I took him back to his car and said lets race he told me no, I said why not, he straight out told me I would beat him,I said you mean to tell me your afraid of an suv with your Mercedes Benz coupe sports car!He had no comment and I asked him at least 3 more times to race before he left.He wanted no part of it.Still no race for me but is that considered a Kill,LOL.Maybe he would of beat me not sure but I think I got just as much enjoyment out of it from him backing down.:D

I believe at least one CLK55 has been put to rest by a Jeep Kill on this forum already. He would have lost.

I was on the way to Vegas about 6 weeks ago and had a run in with SL500, We played back and fourth for about 45 min. and he was in front and we both say a clear opening for about a mile ahead. He punched it and I hit it, I passed him at about 90 and had a good 3 to 4 cars on him when I hit about 135!!! We had to slow because of traffic. AT the next exit I got off and he was still behind. He pulled in at the gas station and rolled down the window and asked if this was stock or did I change the motor. When I told him it comes like this His reply was I never had any idea a jeep could out run me!!

I had a very similar experience two weeks ago with a CLS500 with beautiful black rims . . . very fast car and looks great, but no challenge for the jeep, had a good conversation with the guy, lots of respect from the benz owners! I also got a nice thumbs up from a beautiful RS4 the other day, didn't get a chance to run though since I had to exit, too bad. . .

My other ride is an 05 E500 Sport, same car as the CLS500, and a bit lighter than the SL500. Suffice it to say that while the E500 is plenty quick, it is no match for my stock SRT-8.
