: Need trailer hitch setup

I searched for this but only found peoples personal designs and setups.

I need a hitch thats both hidden and doesnt affect the stock exhaust or the stainless works setup im putting on in the near future on an 08 srt8 GC.

Idk if this is feasible or not but i've seen jeeps pulling boats on here so i think it can be done.

The hitch would need to pull my cobra on a trailer so figure 4200#s or so. is this possible?

are there any kits available that i can purchase?

any help is appreciated thank you :)

You need to go custom if you want to tow that much or you can buy a regular GC hitch but you will have to modify your bumper and weld the exhaust hangers on the hitch. Good luck

I'm also located in Canada and would like to install a trailet hitch to my 07 GC SRT-8. I really like the way it looks now and wouldn't want to use the mopar after market exhaust tips to install the hitch. Has anyone found a simple solution to this problem? Thanks in advance,

Thanks for the links Central Tex Hemi. This is definately something to consider. Do you happen to have any picks of this set up actually on an SRT8?

Thanks again for the link. I actually found some pics posted on line that CMN1 posted some time ago. I might go with his set up as it seems that I would have to change part of my exhaust to fit the Curt Hitch. From what I understand I don't have to change any parts for the Mopar hitch set up CMN1 has installed on his ride. It can also tow up to 3500lbs which would better suit my needs. Its a little less discrete but might be the best compromise for me.

I just crawled out from under my ride and to my surprise I noticed that I already have the trailer wiring ready to go. I called my dealer and he told me I can get the Mopar Hitch for $375 CAD funds (I asked for a price and he was willing to take 10% off this). I most probably going to purchase this set up. Thanks to all the members that have replied to my messages and I'll try and keep you posted.

Follow this link, I was told that the Mopar hitch would fit with minor exhaust adjustments. Hope this helps:

I have had a few more people asking me lately for a hitch. Unfortunately the guy that I had make my hitch and the ones for the other members a couple of years ago doesn't have the jig so my supply is all dryed up. It would not be hard for a custom fabricator to do up a hitch like mine using the pictures that are on here and a few others have already done that. I told my guy what I wanted, we talked about options and when I came back to have it made he did it without even putting the truck on a hoist and just went to it. Was done in about 4 hrs. I have towed lots with it and my boat is 5000 lbs with the trailer. Just find a good shop and have at it.
