getting my tails tinted and was wondering if it will significantly dim the reverse lights. if so can i counteract it with brighter bulbs? if so what ones would you reccommend and what % tint is the best to go with.

I'd just mask around the clear lenses, if possible. I've seen it done before.

Also, go to 50W halogen backup bulbs. Ive got them and they work great.

thanks My tinted tails are great, however, it is a pain to back out of my curved driveway! Tried a few different bulbs, none helped so far. I would also appreciate any suggestions. Hate to get another set done with leaving the clear portion unpainted.

I think leaving the clear portion ondone would kind of defeat the purpose of getting the tails tinted. The only thing I can suggest is rolling down your window and hanging your head out in dark places. :D

Yes, it does dim them. And I wish I would have done like I did on my previous 2 rides and left the reverse area untinted.

is using the film vs. tha spray a bad idea? and is 35% a good amount ?

I've never used film, so I don't know.

I have film on mine and it barely affects it. I'll get pictures, tomorrow.
