Do you already have the dashhawk to clear the CEL??

You will be amazed! The difference is like night and day.

Question; is there any negative impact to performance that also results from the CEL, or is the issue just the annoyance of seeing the CEL? Not saying that isn't an issue by itself, but I want to understand the whole picure.

Thanks!

Hennessey has a fix for $100 plus shipping OR HHP is working with kooks and should have something very soon.

Gonna buy one when I get the headers installed.

Mustangs use MIL eliminators inline between the O2 sensor and the wiring harness. I wonder if something similiar could be used on the Jeeps to keep the CEL from coming on?

May have something there with an inline eliminator.
Note the shop manual states:
Never attempt any soldering of the O2S wiring harness. Hmmm, wonder why?

Ordered 2 days ago, and they are now waiting at my house!!! Gotta find someone to install!!

Just a warning, they are definitely more difficult to install then expected. It is a tight fit!! It took us about 9 hours (off an on) to get them installed. It sure is not like installing a set of Hookers on a small block Chevy!

Your from mass go to lou's custom exhaust they are one of the best exhaust shops around the original is in North reading another good one is in Fitchburg they will do anything to your exhaust I had them do a single flowmaster 2 tails out and 1 big lambo tip on the back but it was to loud

I know of Lou's. They did work on my truck in High School, but I dont know if I would trust them to do the header install. It's at least a 6 hour job, an I dont thnk they've done them on an SRT8 before.

For those of you with the Kooks headers...do they change the sound of the exhaust and if so, how much? I have the Mopar catback but have not been able to hear one with the headers and am concerned they may make the car too loud.

If you like the sound of a small block nascar you will love the headers not to loud but just right!

hahaha nascar? not too loud? hmmm. I just ordered my kooks headers 20min ago. I got the off road package. i live in minnesota and chicago... no one had to know?!?;)
I hope they make it louder I bought magnaflow exhaust and its too quiet for me. I am used to the noise i got from my cts v with corsa... wish i had got corsa again. inferno i think you also have magnaflow... did the headers make them wake up? I love loud motors when they sound like they have some power, not home boys deville with straight pipes

I think Tony replaced the B&B mufflers with Magnaflows cuz of the splitting issue with the B&B's.

This probably a stupid question, but can you just purchase the headers from Kooks for $1,100 and connect to the stock exhaust?

FastSRT8GC

Yes, It comes with the mid section that attaches to cat back or stock exhaust.

tommy25000

I dont believe this is correct. you need to have something to fill in the gap where the stock cats where. these headers are longer than stock if i understand correctly... you can order just the headers for 1100 if you are prepared to custom fabricate a conector pipe. other wise i just bought mine with NO cats and i had to buy the conection pipe for 1550

My mistake, They do come with the connector pipe for the higher price, and you can choose what style you want, High Flow Cat, or Off road.

JET tunes get bad reviews. They do not work. B&G was recommended to me by a Mopar Engineer. I should receive it 3/28. I will install it and return to the track the same day. I will let you know the gains. I would trash the JET.
