Does the Austin area have any active Mopar or other generic car club where the Jeep would be accepted that meets and has events?

My friend back in Houston was telling me about a big cruise he took with a bunch of Charger and Challenger guys out to Lockhart for some BBQ. It sounded like fun so I was wondering if there were any groups here that organize similar events. Thanks.

It's weird but Austin is pretty dead on the Mopar scene there is a big group in Houston called spacecity LX mopar club and Dallas has a BIG following at dfwlx.com. On Oct 16th there will be a state wide gathering in Waco you should come down. I have a few TBSS buddies that live in Round Rock that meet me at Little River for drag racing you could try that as well.

That's unfortunate. Even though the Jeep wasn't made to tear up the twisties, I still enjoy driving aimlessly around the hill country. It'd be more fun with a group.
