So I was heading to Bellevue for some cigars yesterday before the shop closed about 7:30 PM or so. I am in the HOV lane, my wife is with me its acutally her daily driver. :) I see someone with HID's coming up behind me about 3/4 miles back my wife sees it too and says hey is that another SRT8? I say you know I think so, so. Since I learned to drive in a real city I move to the right so that the high speed vehicle can pass me.

He gets up to me slows down a little I see it is a Black SRT8 Just like mine (hers) and it sounds like it has an exhaust at a minimum. After 3-5 seconds he nails it and is off, I am like wait a minute no body is going to punk me not even another SRT8 brother, so I nail it and am off after him. By the time I get behind him and floor it he is about 2 car lengths ahead of me, the thing that really made me say WTF is that I have it floored and he is still walking me at a pretty surprising pace. We get up a bit over the speed limit :) and while I am catching up to him or at least slowing down his walk away from me, I realzie that I probably wont catch him and of course at the higher speeds the car feels like a boat and is unsettling, so I back out of it and flash the highbeams and exit at 520 to get my La Flor Dominicana Double Ligeros.

It was a pretty cool experience especially since the wife immediately asks me what can we do about the suspension. :)

My guess is that they guy had at least headers and maybe a CAM, if you are on here sound off I would love to chat about your mods.

nice, wonder who that could be? and i thought our Jeeps handled pretty good at speed over 120 considering...hmm

I dont know maybe the O7's are better but the 09's remind me of a Lincoln continental at anything over 80mph and at 120 it is definitely not comfortable at anythign other than a straight away.

Hey, those cigars sound nice. I'll have to try them now. So does this mean the wife will let you mod the Jeep now?

Well I read a thread today about the Eibachs and talked to her about that so she seemed receptive to that, so if I can find a good price on that and some Bwoody links I think we can start there. (incrementalism :) )

but she watched me poor 10's of thousands of dollars into my little hotrod and well lets just say it didnt work out well :) so she is kind of gun shy.

But i figure if I can start with the suspension, I can move to headers and cam and then finally a turbo :)

she says I can have the car and do what I want but I dont really want it my next project is a Z06 and I think she really wants one of the new E Class coupes so she is subliminally trying to get me to take the truck. She figures if she can get me modding the truck I will get attached to it and give up on the Z and make the truck my daily driver.
