Has anybody ever run weatherstriping down the sides of the hood and created a full perimeter seal with the fenders/frame? I saw Buick is advertising this for the new LaCrosse, and it supposedly reduces noise. We already have front and rear seals so we just need the sides.

EDIT: Yes, I'm trying to quiet down the truck somewhat. I'm already not allowed to idle at work, and they get all pissy at the fast food drive thrus.

Good idea. My wifes car has this and the engine bay doesnt even get dusty. Thats what i would like it for....

I'm gonna pick up some of the reinforced rubber stuff when I wake up and try it. Probably still gonna be quite noisy since its breathing through headers and a high flow exhaust (and I have the fenderwell vents open), but every little bit helps.

Walk in instead of going in the drive thru. ;) Problem solved! :D

Most of the insides close at midnite, and as you know, I work until 2am. Drive thru is the only option. :p
