: Bwoody springs adjustment problems

I just had Bwoody springs installed this past monday and yesterday took the jeep over to firestone to have the car aligned. At first they said I would have the car back in a few hours. The first call i received they said that the stock ball joints on the jeep are not universally adjustable and that they would have to order new ones to adjust the camber which is off about 1.25 degrees. They then tried to order this new adjustable ball joint but it did not fit because it was too small. They then tried to order larger ones but those were still too small. The camber is off because of the springs obviously. They are currently today putting my jeep back to stock and are sending me on my way with no way to correctly align my jeep. I know you guys know more than me and I would VERY much appreciate your help! Thank you in advance!

Obviously, this creates a huge problem for bwoody as a company ruining expensive tires, i cant believe they would produce a kit where they knew that the alignment would be off and not have anything to fix it.

I think Firestone doesn't know what they're doing. My truck with BWoodys has no camber issues. Bunch of other issues, yes, but not camber issues.

Did you get a print out of your alignment specs?
If so, what is the caster setting?

I can imagine that it is slightly out of spec with the springs in prior to any adjustments....but not 1.25* out of spec.

My Eibachs also have a 1.0" drop up front and my shop was able to get the caster back within spec without changing any parts.

I took mine to a local shop after the Eibach install and it took about 45 minutes and no problems at all. If need be I can post up the spec sheet. Your guys a Firestone don't know sh#t.

Any alignment shop already has the recommended specs in their computer system on the alignment rack when they enter your vehicle info (i.e. 08 Jeep GC SRT8).

I don't know if Bwoody lists these on their installation instructions, I do know that Eibach does not (simply states to have it aligned after install).

I had mine done at Firestone without any issues. In fact ekaz had his done at the same place and we both have Bwoodys. Take it some where else.

All depends on the tech who does the alignment....some guys are really good and are perfectionists.

Other guys don't have the knowledge and/or really don't care.
