Here are some of the die-hard GM fans' opinions of the Jeep GC SRT-8. Some of them actually show it some respect, :)

I like how they keep pointing out that Car & Driver picked the TBSS over the SRT-8, but none of them mentioned that Road & Track picked the SRT-8 over the TBSS 8 months later ("Chariots of Fire" article).

They react in such defensive ways, because our SUV can destroy 99% of the CARS on their little site....while sipping a Latte with my girlfriend in the passenger seat and her hot friends in the back....watching a movie.....with my paintball gear in the cargo area.....

Compared to the other forums those comments are very respectful.

I would agree with the respectful comments on the GM site, but unlike the TBSS, people who look at the Jeep SRT8 seem to forget about the "big picture" The Jeep does a lot more than just accelerate quickly. It's got a suspension system that pulls 0.9 G's on a slalom course, and has front seats to support those lateral g-forces! Then it's got big-ass Brembo brakes to stop it with when needed! The Bilstein shocks contribute to the big picture as well. The TBSS has none of these features. My last two vehicles were BMW's (the most recent being the ZHP-equipped BMW 3 series), and I personally prefer the Jeep SRT8 the most.
B.T.W.: From a towing standpoint, the Jeep SRT8 will never tow 6000lbs (like the TBSS)., but search the forum, and you'll read that any of the SRT8 owners who have towed with this vehicle (including myself) will tell you that this is a fantastic tow vehicle when you get around the lack of a factory hitch option that never materialized despite promises for being available as of 03/06.
