I traded in my 2006 for a 2007 Impala SS . . . Long story short I need to save up to buy a house in a couple years, I'm 22 and want to get my credit straight. I will own a 08 or 09 in a couple years.

I traded it in to a smaller dealership, not affilliated with any brand. They sold it to Billion in town that day I traded it in. I got 26,700 for it pretty much. I saw that as an amazing trade in and also got the impala SS for 16 and it books for 18+ still with 23k miles.

Billion GM saw the Jeep, bought it that day. He then put some new rims on it, put a front license plate on it, and called it his "Demo Car". I drove by the dealership and they had it on the lot today, but I guess he drives it to work every day . . that *****er . . lucky sob!

Someone should call and see how much they want for it!

They will be making $4k on it and he supposedly has received a few calls on it already.

HAHAHAHA yeah my friend said he called in and they said 32k

I found out the fronts are 20s and backs are 22s . . . . I am curious on the tire width if anyone wants to ask them? I am sure they got tires not wide enough for the 6.1l

They gave you good money for it. I paid 29 for my loaded 07 with 19K.

I can't believe they think they will get 32k for this!!

I'm sure they are just saying 32k, and then when some local dummy comes up they will be like hey i'll slide ya a deal and give this to you for 29k . . .which is still wayyy over what you could get a 07 or 08 with factory warranty with

^ That's pretty much how all the dealers are. ;) They already know all the numbers before negotiating.

The idea is to make you come in and negotiate. They have it that high so when so when you come in, they drop the price. They make it come off like you're getting a deal and pricing it to move right there. Like I said, that's how all dealers work. Jack up the price $1k-$3k, and then say they will give you a one time only deal and drop the price that $1k-$3k. If you don't budge, they bring in the "closer" to seal the deal. They got a computer with all the figures in; bottom line, commission, etc, since everybody that "touches" the car makes money. ;) I'm guessing somebody will buy it for $29.9k so they make around $3k on it.

Yup. I haven't purchased as many vehicles as some, but this is my 6th so I believe I have a decent amount of knowledge on how dealers work. At least in the tri-state area, MA, and TX.
