Funny thing... I traded in a Bonneville GXP for my GCSRT8 and my insurance went down $6.00. I pay $58.00 per month...go figure. I have State Farm and I have always been treated well by them.

Pay the same as any other Grand Cherokee. It's the same with my Ram SRT-10. It's simply listed as a 1/2 ton and cost the same as the Hemis.

My insurance went down nearly $200/year goign from my SRT-4 to my SRT8. I am 23 and pay $550/6mo. for Full Coverage through State Farm. The low rate is partly due to me having my Motorcycle and Home insured throughthem as well. Funny thing is my SRT8 and R6 cost me almost the same per month... and the home is cheaper to insure than both of them!

I guess you don`t drive your house as quick as the SRT8 !

My insurance went up $95 per 6 months from my 2002 Durango rate (About $1k/year). They did not give me a discount for ABS or airbags, but I was not willing to tell them it was an SRT8 to get the discounts.

It is still less than 1/3 of my house insurance, where my roof is rated at same 155 mph as the GCSRT8 (damn hurricanes!).

Just changed my policy. I'm an SR-22 carrier (made a stupid decision that I regret and learned from) so my insurance is pretty insane.

For all options maxed out on a 1998 Grand Cherokee 5.9l I pay $3000 per year. Only have until October 10th left on the policy but changing it to the SRT (just gave them the VIN and told them "2006 Grand Cherokee", they didn't ask for anymore info) only cost $2. So less than $100 more per year when I reup in October.

Im pretty happy about it, I was expecting I would have to pay upwards of 4000$ per year.

If you are Military, or former, check out USAA...they can't be beat on rates and customer service. They offer much more than Insurance. Credit cards, Banking, terrific loan rates.....
