I'm thinking about buying an SRT8, should I be buying one now or is the 2008 model coming out soon? Is it going to be that much different? Are there any plans to release a model with black leather or will there be employee pricing?

I'm thinking about trading in my 05 mustang GT for it, I kind of want something new and can tow my wave runner.

hmm, well the 6.4 seems to be too far away...but it looks like the 08 will have HID's, and black leather and touchscreen navigation, and heated rear seats... I can live without the last 3 but HIDS and black leather would be nice

I agree, they will be sweet bulbs! I'm keeping my mileage purposely low on my '06 - 'cause I am jonesing for a 6.4! In fact, in 2 weeks, it makes a full year that I have been the BeastMaster in my neighboorhood!!

Now that I think about it, isnt there going to be a wait when the 08 or 09's come out?
I think it would be cheaper to add HID's to a 07 myself then to wait for an 08 and pay more and be hard to get. HID's are easy to do, changing the leather to black is a bit of a project though, I really don't like messing with brand new leather.

Don't forget that it will feature projector beam headlamp so it's going to look slightly difference from the current version. Plus, better resale for an 08 vs 07. Touch screen Mygig is huge on my list as well. Ask Champion - he will prob give you same price on 08 as 07s.

The 2008 models will have the 6.1L engine.

6.4L is a MOPAR motor. Why in the world would it go into a production vehicle? Looks nice though in the SEMA Challenger.

Cause we have a very reliable informant who tells us so... and that's good enough reason for me to wait and see.

All-new model may not be until 2011 model year, and then you have those "first year issues", which means waiting until 2012 models... so buy sooner and enjoy!!
