Yes, a custom made converter, BILLET stator, wonderful warranty.
Ok...I'm really tired of replacing trannys due to crummy converters failing.
I just replaced my 6th tranny (out of 74 built from January 1st) due to another failed converter.
DAMN. WAYYYY to many failed converters.
I have been working behind the scenes on this project (as some of my testers know) for quite a while.
Along with the wonderful crew at ProTorque AND with AJ's input, I now have a new line of converters for the Hemi's.
The basics:
* All furnaced brazed (too funny, they come furnace brazed from Mercedes ;))
* Custom tuned per application, no "off the shelf converter".
* Billet stator. This is for strength as well as tuning purposes. The CNC machine can create an infinite number of combinations along with using different combinations of pumps.
* Hemi Orange!
Ok, the big question...what stall speeds are available?
Haa, don't get me started on the "brake stall" stuff.
Brake stall is extremely useful for checking your brakes!
The only true way to check stall speed is with a tranny brake.
The current converter combination I have installed stalls at 3000 exactly with my tranny brake. I will use a MUCH higher stall with the twin turbos.
I just need as much info about your ride as possible to get as close as I can on matching the converter to your power.
Ok, the one year warranty....
Obviously, if you destroy my converter, you get a fresh converter, as long as it was NOT due to a tranny failure that took out the converter.
Also, I will pay you $200 towards the install of the new converter. That's confidence!
I don't care how much power you push through the converter either.
My testers have the most powerful beasts out there and have had no failures.
If you purchase my tranny + converter, and either fails in the 1st year, again, you get a fresh tranny + converter AND $400 towards the install.
Ok the price....
$850 + core + shipping.
Please don't confuse this with an off the shelf converter that's fins are sadly bent over with pliers.
