Anyone getting noticeable wear on their left driver side bottom seat bolster?

Even though I try to be careful not to rub my semi-fat azz against it every time I get in and out of the Jeep, it's picking up noticeable crease marks just after a couple months of use. I'm wondering what it'll look like in two years?

Ditto Alex.....14 months, about 26,000 miles. It is noticeable, but not to the point where it's pi**ing me off. Most of the wear seemed to happen fairly early and has not become much worse. I too am careful how I enter and exit, particularly when wearing jeans. I use Byrons or Zainos leather cleaner and care, and I believe it has been kept it to a minimum.

As you are well aware, maintanence and cleaning of the steering wheel, carpets, seats, and door panels is essential to get rid of the oils and dirt we transfer to those areas. (Particulary after a visit to the dealership) Even a damp soft cloth wipe down helps.

Not the best quality leather imo. Hell, my M with over 32,000 and two years, is not showing any signs of deterioration at all. Go figure.

For the record I am showing early wear as well.

Nice to see people even more anal than me about that stuff...;)

You don't want to see that same area in my '94 Mustang. I cry every time I see it. Time for some Corbeau CR-1s.

I have used Lexol leather conditioner on all my cars and find that it makes the leather more resilient (regains its shape easier). If you used it you will realize how dry your leather is because it soaks in and feels dry really quickly if your leather isn't conditioned.

thats exactly what I do

I take some premium leather cleaner/conditioner and massage it in with my hands. it keeps the leather supple and soft and it is more forgiving and less prone to crease. And if I am leaving the car in the garage for a while I just put a layer on a leave it. has been working well so far.

I'm also a leather conditioner believer. I use a product from Adam's Polishes, and it works great.

I use conditioner/cleaner also, but some wear is still apparent. My WJ w/44k miles had wear & a crack, but the crack was in the vinyl outer cover(where the leather & vinyl are stitched together).
