I will PM him I am sure he has his ways to help me out !
sarge 07-28-2009, 01:44 AM You might go to a wrecker and try to find a used one. Otherwise bust the bank!

True story! Unless it was a REALLY good deal I don't know how comfortable I would be throwing in a used one.

Wish I could.. I live in Egypt!!
Could anybody help with that wrecker thing though, or where to find the best price for a brand new one?
Chris@LPM 07-28-2009, 02:47 AM Bill should be able to help you out with a stock rebuild.

TonySRT8 07-28-2009, 04:32 AM If I were you, and this is what I will be doing when my time comes. As it seems like you no longer have a warranty.
I would just pay the extra for a BBill TC and be done with it. You don't want to go thru this again a few years from now.

+1!
This would be my recommendation as well, especially if you're looking to keep the Jeep long-term. But if you're planning on selling and want to avoid paying extra, seriously consider contacting BBill to see what he can do for you. If you've never dealt with him, you'll be shocked at how hard he works to make his customers happy! :)
Heck, if all else fails, get you some duct tape and call it a day! :p
BuilderBill 07-28-2009, 05:50 AM PM sent Ol' buddy.
To build up my inventory I bought 8 transfer cases from wrecks across the country.
Not one of them looked good. Gooey, sticky, crappy clutches and fluid.
Thats why I preach to you guys...CHANGE the transfer case fluid!!!
I do try to keep at least one or 2 of ALL my products in stock to eliminate your waiting.:)

1BAMFR 07-28-2009, 06:38 AM When my Transfer Case was toast... I called Bill and I bought a used one for cheap
At the time I didn't have the cash for the "built" one so he offered a second hand one, Slapped it in....like brand new

I like that !! lol
Behairy 07-30-2009, 08:09 AM Guys they are going to replace the transfer case free of charge !! It was their fault in the first place because the oil dripped because the bolt was loose..
Thank you so much :)
ztothej 07-30-2009, 08:20 AM how often should i change the fluid?
rwboring 07-30-2009, 08:29 AM www.wkjeeps.com
@10,000 miles then every 15,000 after...
i just changed mine @ 15k (first time, yes i know i was 5k over) and it didnt look bad at all... BUT i probably have 90% interstate miles... and have only been to the track 3 times... and i try not have the front "kick" in, when it rains and such
ztothej 07-30-2009, 09:06 AM is this something the dealer has to do or can I?

i did it... there is a process on that jeep site... i think the easiest way (to add to their article) is to measure what comes out (if it is 1.5,1.8, or 2.0 quarts) that way you have a pretty good idea what needs to go in for the factory fill (they say to NOT overfill and the range is like .98 to 1.38" down from the fill hole)... so if you take 1.7 quarts out put 1.5 in... check it... and full slowly and keep checking till your there...
The biggest problem is to get the truck level... (for some reason my townhome's garage isnt and that was a bit%&)...

even though Bill deals mostly in building the Superior T-case for highly modded Jeeps I still would give him a call as he may be able to help you out with that stocker.
