: A question for everybody
Hey guys how is it goin? I currently drive a Audi A4 but i am looking at getting either a Jeep SRT-8 Or a Trailblazer SS....but i am leaning more towards the SRT-8...The only problem i have is that i am 6'8 and i dunno if there is enough room in there for me...im sure that there is, i guess the only way i can answer that question is to test drive it...but anyway i was wondering have there any major problems with the SRT-8's or are they pretty reliable because when i get this car it will be my only car for at least another 5 years or something. also what type of mods can i do to the car? i am not used to american cars because all the past cars that i have had have been audi's so i need some help in the moding dept. Thanks again guys for the help in advance...and i was wondering if anybody could post pics of hooked up ones....thanks guys again.
Alec
Mango 03-07-2007, 09:39 AM Welcome my friend, and all of your questions can be answered by using a simple tool on this website. It's called SEARCH!!!!!
=P
Seriously, you asked so many detailed questions that the only real way is for you to search for them, and do your own research.
I do know there are many members on here that are as tall as you, and they enjoy their trucks. Mods, well it highly depends on what you want to do. I'm a VW/Audi guy as well and I know that there are MANY more options for those cars.
930chas 03-07-2007, 09:42 AM I have 8000 miles on mine and have had zero problems. I took it to the dealership once for the passenger side rattle, but other then that it has been trouble free....knock on wood. The only thing I personally don't like is the quality of the interior. It is CHEAP!! But the seats are tight and comfortable, and it has bluetooth, nav., dvd, etc. and of course most importantly it is a blast to drive. Take one for a test drive, I bet you will be sold on it.

2007GCSRT8 03-07-2007, 10:02 AM You should look up the Hennessey web page if you want a modded jeep. Man are they ever fast! ;) ;) ;)
Stock for stock the TBSS is slower as I'm sure you know. There are more mods out there at this time for the TBSS. So are you doing the mods for speed, or are you doing them because you enjoy working on cars? With a few simple mods on the jeep you are going to be faster than 99.?% of the TBSSs out there (IMO).
Welcome aboard. What kind of mods are you into? Appearance or performance? Or both?

You deserve a beating.
Appearance wise, I can offer some ideas that others have done, but performance wise, I'll let the power guys answer that.
Paint work, grill change, tint, tail lights, HID conversions, de-badging, re-badging, wheels, tires, upholstery work, stereo stuff, anttena, underhood dressup etc.

LOL! My wife gave me one of those last night. No bumps and bruises, I'm sure you can figure out the rest.
I'm sure if he stays around the board for a few days, he'll realize the Hennessey comment was a joke.
Actually Azad, do a search on Hennessey. Some interesting reading. Probably the fastest Jeep out there, with the worst business man running the place (so I've read on this board).

You made it on here pretty fast bro!! Welcome!!
kramsay1234 03-07-2007, 11:13 AM I also came from an Audi - S4, and can say I am very happy. 2 totally different vehicles, but both a blast to drive just the same, and the Jeep is more useful for putting seats down for carry things, etc. And gets way more looks than the S4 ever did. You just can't beat an Audi interior, so you will step down there, but this is known going in and people that have been in my truck all say how much they like the interior. ge2 has some interior upgrades to add some upgraded feel, and others are still searching to get some of the leather interior upgrades the Euros get. I just bought the chromed billet door pins and besides learning that putting them in in below zero temps is a bad idea, they alone add a nice touch.
You will also find M3 owners who have switched and are happy - German vs North American = different, but in this case, not in a bad way.

ya i hear ya dude, its just gonna be hard for me to switch, because i love everything about audi's....but its just the fact that i want some speed...and its really expensive to mod audis and even maintain them...so its about time to give them up for now until im a old man lol...but i know the interior is nothing what audi offers. thanks guys again for all the help

B6 or B5? SRT8 was a tossup between a B6. I think I made the right decision but the B6s look great and the interior is amazing.
scottina06 03-10-2007, 11:55 PM I'm 6'6" and I have no problems.....I have plenty of room and can even move the drivers seat up a tad for someone in the back.

Twin Turbo. Still like the B6, but a little harder to make it pull like a train without the turbos to mod with. Took me awhile to get used to the new body as well. A little more luxury (A6-like) and a little less sport, but I think that happens with most new designs.
