Hey guys - it's been a while since I've been on here and I'm sure it's been talked about, but what is everyone hearing regarding the fate of the GCSRT - or all SRT's for that matter. I can't imagine SRT being high on the list of priorities for the new owners - is it?

I heard a while back, Fiat had no intent on continuing the Hemi. May or may not have been a rumor, but they aren't known for anything but crappy four bangers

There are several other threads on this topic already on this site so do check them out. There's been several news items recently which seem to not favor the SRT brand yet we've also had encouraging news that for the foreseeable future (through 2012), the HEMI and SRT are here to stay.

Beyond 2-3 years, we can't be sure of anything from any manufacturer except for what they show at the autoshows. This years autoshow circuit has taken a big hit from manufacturers not showing up to a reduction in new concepts. I hope that 2010 will be different and we'll start seeing those new concepts and future models again.

I bought what I have been told was the last SRT8 Cherokee in Atlanta. There were no 09's anywhere to be had, no expectations of any 10s to come. I got my 07 and had two people standing around waiting to see if I was leaving with it that were quite disappointed when I did.

2010 model is still going to be built (no 2011). Don't believe what the dealer tells you, they just want to move units on their lot, period. ;)
