I ran into some technical difficulties while trying to place my order today for the DiscItalia drilled/slotted rotors. I had to call them twice to sort it out, they then called my bank, my bank called me, and we were on 3 way! All the while, John at BrakeWorld was calm and happy to help me. After we finally had the money approved (overly cautious bank I guess) he then called his distribution center and got the lowdown on the next delivery truck for me!

It was great to work with them and they treated me incredibly well, given all the headaches with the bank. Great service!

You will love the DiscItalia drilled/slotted rotors!!!!
Very easy to install, except watch the rear brake line on one side. If yours is like the rest of ours, it needs to be rotated away to get a bolt out.

Ohhh Yeah, I had to rotate it just to get the pads off when I put the Centric Posi-Quiets in. I'll watch that. I HOPE the truck gets in tomorrow and they mail them out!! Can't wait!!

He said the truck is a state away from the distro center. *crosses fingers*

I ordered the RaceMesh kit today too, 4 week wait for that. =(

*Edit: CURSE YOU GE2!! hehe

Well..... :) funny you should ask ;)
I do have a few things in the works right now. Currently my dash is torn apart and some pieces are with PatternTek in Miami. I'm waiting for my appointment with the upholsterer (headliner, pillars, headrests, seat inserts and center console lid) for more of the carbon fiber material treatment. And I'm planning on swapping intakes. I have the Volant coming, and I'm planning on smoothing and painting the intake tube (not sure of the color yet, but it'll be shiny :) )

I've just used the stocker, the stock box with a drop-in K&N, and the GSM. I've used so many intakes on different rides though, and I honestly just go with what looks the coolest to me. They all function pretty close to the same from my experience.

When I get the Volant, and have had the time to customize it accordingly :) yes.... the GSM one may be available. I'll keep you posted.

I just purchased the Volant myself, about the crossed drilled rotors I have them on my Denali for 1-1/2 years from Baer brakes and noticed stress or heat crackes from hole to hole, someone told me that would happen he told me stick with slotted,I dont want to end up with a shattered rotor it can be pretty messy and costly:eek: .Next time around I will go with slotted.I guees that extra metal makes a difference.Kevin....

Sorry Mr. Whipple,
My slotted and DRILLED rotors look perfect. I have "bedded" in the pads at least 3 times (70mph-10mph 10 times in a row) and have numerous high speed stops (1/4 mile variety) from approximately 105 mph....no problems after 5000 miles. The rotors look perfect, I am not looking at them to SHATTER!. Of all the things in life to worry about, this is not one of them. I was at the MB dealer today, guess what the fastest AMG's have for rotors...yep drilled and slotted. MHO.

Bill,I was just saying crossdrilled rotors are more prone to crack than a slotted rotors, mine are cracked ,small stress cracks leading from the hole. But dont forget I only have a 12'' rotor on the denali(stock replacement). The amg's have a 15'' rotor, less holes, and probably is twice as thick, more steel more heat dissapation. My best friend had a cl55, the brakes make the Jeeps look like a Toy the Caliper was huge, looked like a 6 or 8 piston ,that was an actual big brake kit the real deal.If I did them on the Jeep I would do slotted because of reliabity,Im not saying the crossdrilled arent but they are prone to cracking im experiencing it now and my stockers never cracked.Im glad to hear that yours are doing fine you probably got yourself a good product,I know you do your research because all of your other upgrades are top notch especially that volant air intake, all problem free upgrades, just a little Iffy on those rotors:D just kidding. Here is a pic of one of the cracks on my rotors.Kevin....986

Ouch! I see what you mean!
I have read where there are companies that will drill your STOCK rotors. Not a great idea. I have the DiscItalia which were over $1,000 I believe for all 4.

I agree not drilling the stock,Those discs are sweet, one thing is you cant beat is the look of a crossed rotor.I was wondering if the discs are all the same front to back and how is the anti-rust coating holding up.Im going to wait until my stockers on the Jeep are destroyed,I might put different pads on to minimize the dust and squeal thats all for now.Kevin...

Front and rear are different sizes.
The coating looks as good after 5000 miles as it did the day I installed them.

Well, no one is spending any serious track time with their srt8s, so this really is a non-issue.

But it's rare that you'll see a real race car with drilled rotors.
