Had the truck in for regular service at my local 5 star dealer and as they were handing me the keys they started listing all that they had done; kinda went like ... inspected this, changed that, blah, blah, performed the ABS reflash, blah, blah, rotated the tires, blah, blah. "Whoa" says me you did what to the tires ?

Sure enough the fat rims were on the front. They changed them back no problems but I was amazed (shocked really) that it happened in the first place. Now I have the same size rubber on all four corners for the winter which may have thrown them off, but c'mon ...

They put 5W-20 dino oil in the crankcase with the last oil change, and also left silicone caulk on the window/front bumper, and driver's inside door panel when they did the wind-noise TSB. When I pointed this out, they told me that that was their very best mechanic working on my Jeep! Are we using the same 5 star dealer by chance?

Apparently the original "will cause rear wheel lock-up under certain braking conditions"

I was told by my girlfriend (who is the service writeup girl at my local dealership) that it only effected a small number of SRT-8's, so unless you recieved a specific notice in the mail there is no need to worry.

I'll be bringing a lawn chair & camp out beside the truck next time (if there is a next time that is) they work on it

I just received my first oil change and noticed the Super-Bee travel mug giveaway. I asked where my Jeep SRT8 mug was and there wasn't one. :(

I went through the quick lube side and made sure all they did was the oil change. 0W40 Mobil 1 and $140 Cdn later I was out the door. Brought it in dirty as well so I could see if there were an rub marks I didn't come in with. They passed that test.

If I had more time I might have had them check the passenger door speaker rattle, but I didn't have time. When I ask for specific things like that I will be standing right beside the truck, or I am not keen on them doing it.

My tires were not moved nor did they put the 38-40 lbs of air back in that it was delivered with...
