Does anyone make a stand-alone transmission cooler with its own fan for the GCSRT8? The closest thing I could find was this B&M Supercooler Transmission Cooler on the Hennessey website. Haven't heard anyone using it yet... wondering if it's worth the $75.

A tranny cooler isn't much different than any other cooler out there, just make sure its rated for the line pressure and you the appropriate fittings. You really don't need one unless you absolutely need to romp on your truck. Even with 700+ wheel a 1/4 mile pass doesn't push it past its limits. But when you start hot lapping it gets hot quick!!!! Also, brake torquing or a trans brake will heat it up well past desirable limits.

Thanks Winston! I know how excessive heat can be a detriment to our automatic trannys. Maybe I'll wait until those higher HP mods come a-knockin...

more than likely that B&M kit is a Hayden... they also have a model with a self-contained electric fan. I'm sure there's others out there... Hughes has a unit as well.
