Only thing that changed is the light source. It's not the reflector that matters, but the difference in construction between the old bulb and new ballast. The percieved brightness and glare created on the human eye can temporarily "blind" drivers, regardless of how the pattern is thrown. I had HIDs in my silverado ss and they flashed all the time but after the Mcgaughys 3-5 kit and 27"s the flashing went away for a while but truck drivers would bother me!!!
