I have been researching some of the video content that will be available in the 2008 GCSRT8, and early on all programming agreements in place are targeted for the kids (Cartoon Network, Boomerang), which is good for me.

This is a market still in its infancy, and therefore subject to quick expansion and/or adaption as it evolves and as the customers dictate.

Apparently, the video streaming will be approximately $6.99 per month, and this charge will be in addition to your regular Sirius package. I don't know as of yet if the video package (Back Seat TV) will be part of the Sirius promotional package that you receive with the purchase of a new model.

Just passing the information along, as it becomes apparent that I may wait until 2008 to purchase my GCSRT8.

My concern is in how are they going to format it. Sirius has been at the limits on bandwidth, and I think a cached service will not do them well.
