finally got a nice day to take out the new gcsrt at englishtown for street wars. it was fun beating up on the imports all day. they were really out numbered. some nice lx cars showed up especially the magnums, everybody was real nice so i cant wait until the next mopar event comes in may.
so i managed to get a consistent 13.3 all day so for a stock truck with 300miles on it, im definitely impressed. im just curious on what methods you guys use at the track for launching because it seemed like power breaking to 1500rpm with traction control off was my best time with a 1.8 60'.
oh and heres a pic of me destroying this guy in his m3:p

Nice. A few former M3 owners who traded in for the Jeep will like this pic for positive reinforcement on their decisions :D ;)

Congrats on the Jeep, and seems like you had a great day.
Beating an M3? Why according the the Bimmer owners, that never happens, and the new 335I also never loses....but, us Mopar owners know that's not the case. My old Jeep SRT gave my brothers M5 a good run, even though he did pull away from me...but race one when its wet out.
I now have a Bee, and love it. All are great vehicles.

I will let u know how srt8 gc compares to my wife's 335...as soon as I get my 08 :D
She had an 03 M3 and she actually likes her 335 better. I will prob hook her up with a chip soon. :)

That's beautiful! And a appears to be LOT easier to mod for power compared to the M3. The big question is how much before going to larger turbos.
I hate to admit this, but I have not really driven my M3 since the brick arrived:( She may be put in the dog pound soon.
SRTPhilly - Good kill! Since you are all stock, I bet those runs were at 215* or greater coolant temps. You'll be amazed what a lower-temp t-stat will make the rig feel like!

A couple of tenths for less than $ 20.00 as long as you have some fan mod.

That's a pretty strong run for a stock truck w/300 on the mil. A CAI and Catback will put you in the 13teens. More miles should put you at 12.90s. I love my truck. It sits high, can hold a lot of cargo, and it can kick a$$ on race day. I wanted to go to the track today but found out 1 or 2 people died tragically on Mardi Gras Day at the track. One was a cyclist and the other way someone driving a mustang. I don't know all the details, but apparently the mustang went airborne and hit the time board display at the end of the 1/4, splitting the car in half. Anyways, I was looking to run 12.90s today. I will try next week. Good luck with your mods.
