Is there somewhere on the jeep where I could find out the build date??

If you look at the door jamb sticker, it will tell you the month and year. You would have to have the VIN decoded to determine the exact date built, which is not necessarily difficult.

You could also get the dealer to print out build information for you, which would include the exact date built.

The month, day, hour and year are all on the door sticker.
