In my first couple of weeks of ownership, I somehow picked up a nice little rock that is on the right side of the windshield embedded into it. The other day when wiping the beast down I noticed a few smalller less apparent chips. What gives? Why does this glass seem so easy to mess up? This is my 6th car and I've never had this problem with any of them? We already replaced my Charger winshield at like 1,600 miles b/c of whatever my wife drove through on the freeway one night. Is it me, or does this glass suck balls?

I agree, the quality sucks, i have about 3 chips in mine that are a decents size and a least 3 smaller ones.

I already need a new windshield. Had a small impact mark, but then it spidered all the way across.

When I had my '06 GC SRT8 less than a month, a HUGE rock was thrown off a trailer hauling a bull dozer just as I was passing by on the interstate. Thankfully it just missed the hood, but it did hit the windshield in the drivers side corner just above the instrument cluster. The impact took two "nice" little divots out of the glass. I felt lucky, because I thought that the rock was going to shatter the entire windshield. I had a glass company look at the windshield, and they said that there were no cracks around the divots, and filling them would only make them more noticeable, so I have left them alone.

Within the first month of moving to Virginia, I had rocks take out the windshield of my Dakota and Sable. The Jeep was almost the third! :(

I got a few chips and a 12 inch crack in top right corner. Looks like it started from a tiny chip about 1/2 inch from the edge.

In the sunlight mine looks almost like it was bead blasted...... Looks almost like I was in a sand storm or something. Too many high-speed runs down the bahn? No chips though.....

My 300C's windshield is pretty pitted and I have one chip that is right behind the rear view mirror. I don't really see it when I'm driving.

It all as to do with the dirt haulers and gravel trucks. We drive too close to the cars in front of us and we get our glass all messed up.

I'm very anal about keeping plenty of distance between myself and gravel trucks, flatbeds and even pickup trucks that look like work vehicles.

Only about 3500 miles, but a spotless windshield and front end so far.

You seem to have forgotten the "Neener, neener, neener" part Alex...:D

My glass has a few very small marks, but my hood has about 4 large chips. Kind of annoying as I don't drive it if the roads are bad. My '03 Ram had 30,000 miles with the original glass and had no chips even on the hood for over 3 years. I 'm guessing the higher front end might of helped though.

Nope. Nope. and Nope.

I know my luck. After posting that comment about a spotless front end and windshield, I now expect a piano to fall on the truck next time I drive it.

Out here, if you have more than a car length and a half in front of you, Prius's harrass you for driving like an idiot.

I notices little pit marks on both of my Jeep's...One chip was right in the line of sight and used to light up when the sun hit it right. I do not even remember getting hit with any rocks.
