No the rear trim looks like the stock one but is made from polished aluminum to match the front. You cannot mix the polished aluminum new part with the chromed plastic stock part that would be kind of cheesy. FYI, I WILL ONLY DO THEM AS A COMPLETE SET.

This has all been gone over before under the project sport truck posts. I will recap the question here. The new parts for the door are polished aluminum. The factory parts that they replace are chromed plastic. The trim pieces just under the windows are polished stainless steel. So the answer to your question is sure they match. Its a different metal but so is the factory parts.

Just talked to the machinist and all the back parts (rear door section) are finishing today or tomorrow. The front door / long part is going on the machine Friday and will finish Monday or Tuesday. I am getting the first run set to test fit and make sure everything is 100% on Monday or Tuesday. Once finished they are off to powder coating and polishing. I will keep you guys posted.... They are getting close... hang in there.

I believe it said on a previous post that the factory uses plastic clips. Since the replacements are billet they will mount with double sided 3M tape. If any of you have tried using this tape you know how well it holds.

I would guess a week. Shipping is how ever long UPS is to your location. Believe me I call and bother these people every day. I am not one for just waiting for others to do things. It sucks but unless I start a powder coating and polishing company I'm stuck dealing with other people to do things.

yep... just wash as normal but you may have to use metal polish every once in a wile.

After receiving a few calls on the installation of the door trims I wanted to send out this e-mail to help out.


IT IS VERY IMPORTANT that the door and the trim are 100% perfectly clean, free of any dirt, oils, etc. This can be done with 3m wax and grease remover or any other similar solvent. The trims will not stick properly if the surface of the back side of the trim and the surface on the door are not clean. Also if the trim has been stuck and then removed say to reposition, it will not bond. Once the adhesive tape is stuck it should not be removed. I also suggest the use of silicone adhesive (clear silicon) in the recesses on the back of the new trim parts. Basically put silicon in each one of the cut outs on the new part. This will give a bond to the recessed areas that do not have tape. Don't be shy with the silicon. Use plenty to fill in those areas.

These have been on my truck now for 3 months and are 100% perfect. If you guys have any questions please call. I do not want to see anyone have any trouble due to improper installation.

I just got it 15 Min. ago. Randy installed it himself. (Thanks Randy!) I drove home listening to local AM & FM, both worked great. Remember the PHX area is flatter than a mallard's instep, so I can't say this is true everywhere. However, this looks so f'ing cool that I wouldn't care if I got NO reception! A must have.

BTW, Randy's black SRT8 is better in person than in the magazine. Just amazing.

For those of you thinking about this mod, I highly recommend it. Granted, the fewer that have it, the better my truck looks but its a definite improvement over stock.

How hard is the mod to install? Does a shop need to do it?

Install is easy as pie. This install is way friendly to beginners.

Factory pieces are plastic and snap right off. Just start under one end and tug until the tabs start popping off. Just read previous threads to see Randy's instructions for installation (which are pretty simple) - make sure the area is clean and stick them on. Mine took 15 minutes b/c I'm anal and wanted to make sure everything was clean and lined up perfectly.

Call or PM rm360. He is very helpful with the removal/install. I found it's important to bend the front door trim a little to conform to the shape of the door. That way the adhesive tape sticks better.

It does screw on. Was there a threaded screw sticking out on the bottom of the new billet? The threaded screw on the new billet is actually removable. But the threaded screw on the OEM antenna is fixed.

The antenna looks great, but can I ask why sooo much? You can get stubby billets off of ebay like that for $20 shipped. Does this offer better reception somehow?

I highly recommend this antenna. No change in reception over stock. Looks awesome. High quality. Easy install.

Confirmed, no problem or difference where i live for FM. Slight difference on the negative side for AM but still tunes fine.

LOL NO WAY!! Yes, I do play and have played in NPPL/PSP events for over 6 years now. Played for numerous teams, my most recent time was spent playing with Joy Division as a sub. I'm friends with Max and many in the industry. :)
