Newfiebullet 06-24-2009, 09:46 AM Hey Tom, Just wondering if the price includes a new TCM or do we have to send in our own, also do these have to be star scanned in or it a plug and play set up?
Thanks
Newfie.
Toml08 06-24-2009, 02:01 PM Hello Mike,

Harrison@Stage6 06-24-2009, 02:04 PM Is there any data backing up the .3 1/4 besting or is that a guess?

GotStroked 06-24-2009, 02:32 PM Is there any data backing up the .3 1/4 besting or is that a guess?
It's a calculation based on increased shift rpm, eliminated tq management and the patch we use that allows for an additional 200 N/m or 186lb/ft of torque during shifts. All TCMs come with a 100% money back guarantee based on customer satisfaction. So far nothing but praise for the new Euro TCMs. :)
guyrobert 06-24-2009, 02:40 PM I have a couple of quick questions,
Is this signifigantly better than an emailed CMR tune?
Will it work for all years?
Any issues if you take it to the dealer for service?
Do we send you a list of our mods first?
Thanks in advance.
TonySRT8 06-24-2009, 02:44 PM Gotstroked, who is this person?
J/K andy, Nice to see you post again.
You got me rethinking some of my MOD budget. I bet this thing rocks with Bills stage II valve body.
Tony

CMR Tuning = PCM or Engine Tuning. TCM Tuning= Transmission Tuning. 2 seperate things. That being said you need both to see the true potential of even a stock motor. As far as gains at the track, you will see similar ET reductions as a CMR.
Will it work for all years?
Yes
Any issues if you take it to the dealer for service?
No, they won't be able to tell we've remapped your TCM. If you're uber worried just buy a spare $150-200 have it VIN syched at the dealer (no worries about warranty at this point since it's just another stock TCM going in) then ship us one of them. Obviously you won't have any downtime going this route either.
Do we send you a list of our mods first?
Thanks in advance.
Get in touch with Tom or myself first to discuss optimal shift points, etc. for your application. Then when sending the unit in please include the following info:
1) VIN #
2) All driveline modifications
3) Year of Jeep
Thanks!
hawkman996 06-24-2009, 04:41 PM Awesome news Tom/Andy. Glad you guys kept hard at work on this....I know Jhriss appreciates it! ;)
My bank account cannot keep up with all the goodies we have out for the jeeps. :(
If it shows that much reduction off the 1/4 mile I will definitely purchase one in the future.
PhillyJeep 06-24-2009, 04:46 PM Excellent question. If we had some form of engine tuning combined with this TCM, could we expect double the gains?
GotStroked 06-24-2009, 05:22 PM Excellent question. If we had some form of engine tuning combined with this TCM, could we expect double the gains?
The only way you will ever see the true potential of even a bone stock Jeep, let alone some of the modded monsters on this site, is with both PCM and TCM tuning.
You can eliminate all the TQ limiters in the PCM, but if you leave the TCM alone what good does it do? The same can be said for the opposite scenario.
Thanks!
GotStroked 06-24-2009, 08:08 PM MikeBarn just track tested one of our TCMs and ran 12.9@105+ with MHP CMR/TCM/SWorks 1 7/8" headers and T-stat in 3100' DA. Before we raised his PCM rev limiter up (to match the 6500rpm TCM shift point) he ran 13.2-13.4@102. I'm sure he'll post up timeslips in a new thread.
