BOYCHIKS 06-23-2009, 10:50 AM I saw that on there last night. Seems to be not so bad of a deal, hope it goes to a forum member :D
Blown-WK 06-23-2009, 10:54 AM Here it is. The guys forum name is CarreraSRT600. He only paid 33k for it over a year ago:eek:

hawkman996 06-23-2009, 10:55 AM Saw that this morning on ebay. It looks nice but I don't like the rims on the jeep. The rims themselves are great and would look great on many other rides but I have not seen many rims other than stock that look good on our rigs.
Blown-WK 06-23-2009, 11:00 AM Here is a pic of it with the original owner from waaaay back in the day:D

Its amazing what you can find with a little digging. The internet is a wonderful thing except for when you wanna sell something with a bad history:eek:
greatone61 06-23-2009, 12:11 PM Those rims blacked out on a dropped silver Jeep would look sick. There is a vid somewhere on youtube of that Jeep.

Yeah its in my first link.
tomsws6 06-23-2009, 03:01 PM that doesnt seem to much of a bad deal? i dont like the wheels. doesnt even look like an srt8. how fast was the truck? its got good miles and doesnt look beat up.
tomsws6 06-23-2009, 03:09 PM i saw on youtube it ran 12.2 at 115 doesnt seem like tat good of a time but mph is good
Vinnysrt8 06-23-2009, 03:11 PM i seen that its a good deal i think
SoonToBeSRT 06-23-2009, 06:33 PM yea, just saw the Jeep as I stumbled upon this thread haha, what a kooinkydink. Anyway, anyone see the export tails, had a set of regulars for 05-07 and then a tinted set of exports, someone should jump on them, probably look sick on our rigs. Saw a few other cheap SRTs, looked nice, may end up going that route, 30k+ miles and all for like 29k or less, thats wat it may have to be. Either way, the 08s do have the nicer interior and HIDS, but for the 3k or less I can prob grab some HID's and fogs, along with the My Gig upgrade no, what you guys think?
hartman601 07-10-2009, 09:06 PM yeah it went to a forum member, hope you guys are right about it being a good deal, since i bought it. Will be bringing it back to Houston although not sure if I'm going to take it into HPE or have my favorite Houston area guy tweak on it a bit further. Sure I'll be needing some further help and advice on it, so I'll take suggestions and comments. Spent all day reading up on the infamous JH threads, so here's hoping for a positive experience going forward with this Jeep. Wish me luck!

Well congrats on the new jeep! Sure you will be pleased ..... but did you pay $34k for it?! He just had it on there at BIN for $32k or $31k starting/no reserve.
hartman601 07-10-2009, 09:14 PM Yeah, unfortunately i missed the buy it now option. There was already a 31k bid on it when I came across it and no buy it now option. And the original bidder inched me up to 34k. Sure I overpaid by a smidge, but you know a fool and his money.....
Original plan was to buy an 08 and do a heads/cam/headers job on it, but figured this was probably a cheaper way to get horsepower in the end.

Yea I know what you mean. I have personally done it myself plenty of times, but wasn't a car, so I wasn't to mad. I am sure it will be worth it anyways. Make a new thread when you get it and let us all know how it is and of course, we will want some more vids ;)
Fastest H-Town Realtor 07-11-2009, 10:21 AM Congrats on the new ride-Let me know if you head to HRP.
greatone61 07-11-2009, 11:03 AM Man for that price I may have to sell mine!
Jpeyatt 07-11-2009, 01:18 PM Damn that thing only ran a 12.5????
Jpeyatt 07-11-2009, 01:20 PM Check it out at 2:05 http://www.youtube.com/user/speedmaster747
dbrisson 07-12-2009, 06:29 PM Is that silver thing in front of the turbo, below the cross member an oil tank or resevoir? If so thats just asking for problems.
navyavi469 07-12-2009, 07:01 PM Been watching the Hennessey SRT600 on ebay, as mine has been up there as well. Lots of the guys asking questions about mine referred to it, as some sort of "benchmark of performance".
Hartman601 I wish you the best of luck with that truck, but there's a reason its changed hands like 4 times. JH just throws a kit on it, mounts a single 67 behind the transmission, puts a tune in it, and calls it done. Then he charges 73000 for a new one, in fact, he's got a permanent Ebay Ad for his SRT600 Jeep priced at exactly that. If you read the article the seller posted up there with it, the test drivers fried the torque converters...hah! The 600's have no serious driveline upgrades, except for their miraculous billet torque converter which they have a 400% markup on over the one at Mopar supercenter. The engines are pretty much stock too. Even the asthetics could use some work, if you dont mine paying out the nose for the wheels. JH claims a 12.2, but then detunes them for the customer, locks the tune in the Predator, and if you touch it, the warranty is no good.
12.5?? 12.5? Don't make me fall out of my chair, for that kind of money I could build you a world record setting Jeep. I think Harrison runs a 12.4 in Florida heat with nothing but a heads and Cam. Keoni once ran a fluke 11.9 with just N/A bolt-ons.
Call me a bitter knucklehead, but when i look at the quality of the Henneseey 450whp Jeep that has serious trouble competing against N/A bolt-on rigs, an My jeep at 750whp that knocks on the door of High Tens, I find it hard to wonder why anyone would bid on the JH turdmobile. Maybe its the "name", or the "prestige"... who knows.
I do know that a couple of guys who have been in touch with me were pissed that they got outbid on your new rig...lol... I told them that they're better off without it =x
Ok, I've said my piece, no hard feelings as I'll be temporarily out of the Jeep business very soon, only to re-emerge. We can build them better.... faster... stronger... "wha wha wha wha wha wha wha wha.... (cheesy 70's 6million dollar man sound effects) "
