Is there a such thing as too much "port" on cylinder heads?

Absolutely. We only use Stage IV heads on FI applications where port speed isnt as important as it would be in an NA application.

Ok, I was just asking in refrence to some people say the 90 mm TB is too large (overkill)

I wondered if Heads can be overkill too

In NA applications, the 90mm could be too large and certain heads are also too large. For forced induction, you want as much volume as possible since the air is pressurized with the blower. We are about to test what the 90mm tb does for the whipple on Justins car with no other changes.

As long as you dont exceed the output of the blower. Some of the guys who built big cfm Viper motors were running out of blower volume and running less power with big $ builds. New blower kits have been developed since to solve that issue, but it was a learning experience for those signing the cheques. I assume this isnt a problem with the 6.1 yet?
