I was taking off my antenna today to give it to the machinist and when I unscrewed it I accidentally lost grip of the internal antenna stuff that connects the external antenna to the radio. It seems that I need to remove the wheel well liner to get it back. How do I remove the wheel well liner? Thanks.

you need to remove/cut off the plastic rivets holding it on. But first you need to go to the dealer and buy them. you also need a plastic rivet setter

WAIT !! same thing happened to me, this is what you can try it worked for me....open your passenger door and see the foam insert where the hinges are ? push the foam back a little on the bottom and stick your hand in there, or use tool and fish it out. It worked for me and the foam is not being held by anything in place. I grabbed the antenna base and creeped up the foam with my hand/tool and than pushed it back through the hole :D saved me a ton of time. Than just re-wedge the faom back in place and you're all set.

Try using a coat hanger to "fish it out."

Because he's having a batch of cutom billet ones made (he's got a thread about them somewhere) to sell, andI'm guessing the machinist needed the stocker to be surehe got the mouting point correct.

Ahh, I thought he was getting something done to the antenna itself, for some reason.
