Hey guys
as i was pulling on the highway today I saw a bright yellow dodge rumble bee truck about to come pass me as i was merging. he switched lanes to the left and so did I, he had a good 10 mph on me and we both nailed the throttle, I was instantly a couple cars lenghts ahead of him and still pulling. I let off the throttle to let him continue on his drive and he passed me grinning like a butchers dog and gave me the big thumbs up!!
I got my srt8 2 weeks ago and this was my first race/kill. 1 for 1 so far
what do these rumble bees have in them it was pretty quick!

My first "kill" will hopefully be in a week and a half. Son #3 is scheduled for an autocross school a week from Saturday and I've been told that if I bring the jeep they'll let me do fun runs after the school is over. :D

I am interested in how this handles on the AutoX, I used to race STS class. The jeep I feel would do much better in a less violent event, like track days like Sebring or Atlanta(insert your local race track). MY prediction is a lot of push in the turns, lots of power lots of weight = tendency to push a bit to hard and understeer. Good Luck and let us know how it does.

In a few Months i will take it to Sebring International 3.7mile race course in FL (for those of you who dont know) Here i believe the Jeep will shine.

For those interested and are in GA or FL let me know. I do the photography for www.chinmotorsports.com on occasion and also ran my Mini S through this club. Every car welcome.

I've been running an e30 BMW in STX, but I'll be running a C4 Corvette this year in A Stock in my SCCA series. I'll still run the fun BMW in other less competitive club series I compete in.

I'm expecting the jeep will be weak in high speed transitions; that's a lot of weight to throw around. I'm not to worried about understeer; just slow it down a bit at corner entry and I'm sure I can induce some power-on throttle oversteer without any problem.

No way the jeep would be competitive in any autox class. But it'll be a BLAST to drive one on course.

Cool. I do autox photography for www.teamwtf.org. I couldn't tell if the pics on the chin site were yours, but they're nice. What kind of equipment are you shooting with?

I am using the canon 5D and 28-300 canon L, If you look at my site you can tell when i switched from my rebel xt. I started taking some photos for fun then ended up spending LOTs of money. But i love Photography now and I am still learning. www.drivenphotography.com

I love the 5D. When I can justify a second body, that would be it.

I'm shooting with a 1D MKII N, 70-200 2.8L is (1.4X extender at times), 24-105L, and 70-300 DO.

Very nice camera, a lot faster than mine. I need a 100-400 for future sport shoots. But right now its just a hobby, I make money with it here and there. Like i said I love it now and it eats up almost as much money as my vehicles!
