Will just hit the first oil change mark. Curious as to what everyone's done at this point. The oil fill cap says "0W-30", the only oil I can find at 0w is Mobil 1. It's a full synthetic but is labeled as "fuel economy".

I was looking to get royal purple or such.

I used Mobil 1 0w-40 synthetic.

Be prepared to pay a heffty fee for your first oil change.

Also, I should add....watch for oil change specials at the auto parts stores. Advanced and Auto Zone have both had 5 qts of Mobil 1 synthetic and an oil filter for $29.99 (normally $6.99 a qt for the oil) over the last few months. Not sure if any place has a special going on right now.

Really? Damn I missed out on that.....I bought mobil 0w40 and filter and it was $65. I will have to check tomorrow since I have another oil change coming up soon.

Still way better that the $150 the dealer was going to charge me to do the oil change. That's ridiculous!

Yep, when Advanced had the sale it was 5qts of Mobil 1 synthetic with Mobil 1 oil filter. I picked up 15 qts and 3 filters. I asked the guy if there was a limit, and he said no......so they only had 3 filters and 19 qts in stock :D

Auto Zone just had it with the 5qts of Mobil 1 synthetic and a Bosch oil filter. Didn't get any more for the Jeep....they had a limit on 2 "deals" per customer per day (or per trip if it's different people working), ended up gettting 20 qts and 4 filters for my mom's Town&Country as she drives a lot.
This sale just ended 6/3 according to the tag when I bought some last week....unless they extended it.

lol.. thats what i do too...

You are dead on bro... advanced always has sick deals on oil every month... i think i usually pay about 45 bucks or so for 7 qts and a filter...

Yo SRT8x2... change the oil yourself... its so easy.... plus you can let the oil drain out much longer than the shops... they dont take their time and always leave alot of oil still in the pan...

btw.. doesnt the oil cap say 0w 40? maybe its changed over the years...

3k on your rig? you bastard :) ha...

Believe me, I will be doing the oil change myself. Always do my own work. I have heard some horror stories from those quick change places.
**Cross threading the plug, re-using oil filters, putting in non-synthetic**

I will be using the mobil 1 0w-40 this weekend.

Jeep looks stellar!!!! I love the inferno red and I'm glad they brought it back for 09'. I'm not sure if I like the red calipers with it though....maybe in time.

Nice!!! I love the shine to the 09' wheels, wish mine looked like that.

Nice bike too.

I have a 03' Honda RC51 and a 98' Honda Superhawk. My first bike was a ninja though....they will always have a soft spot in my heart. ;)
