: Sluggish acceleration
06srt8satx 02-25-2007, 09:37 AM While driving yesterday, the acceleration began to get sluggish. It seemed like the transmission was slipping. When you take off, it would rev up a tiny bit, then wheels would kick in. Anyone ever experience this. I am taking it in tomorrow morning to get the following done:
1. This particular Transmission or transfer case problem
2. Passenger window will not auto up. Possible TSB 23-008-06
3. TCM flash TSB 21-020-06
4. When listening to Sirius, the sound quality sucks. I used to have XM and the sound quality was awesome. Sirius on mine sounds like its not even in stereo.
5. A/C will go warm then cool on auto climate. TSB 24-002-06
Oh, by the way, mine is an 06 built 5/06.
1. You may be leaking tranny fluid. http://www.wkjeeps.com/wk_tsb.htm
4. Check your steroe setting/eq? Serious & XM merged so maybe that will help.

Not yet. It's just a proposal.
Unless you're joking. :p

I was under the impression it was a done deal, but there may be FCC regulations yet?

IMO it may be a bad thing, just what we need is one big monopoly sat radio charging whatever they feel like. I find it hard to believe that they are losing $, charging for airwaves.

The biggest hurdle will be anti-trust regulators. This is far from a done deal, IMO.

ResumeSpeed 02-25-2007, 02:48 PM 2. Passenger window will not auto up. Possible TSB 23-008-06...
Try this window recalibration procedure and see if it solves your issue:
1. Turn the Ignition to the Run position.
2. Regardless of current window position, move the driver’s window upward until the window stalls in the full up position. Allow the window motor to stall for at least 2 seconds before releasing the switch.
3. Move the driver’s window downward until the window stalls in the full down position. Allow the window motor to stall for at least 2 seconds before releasing the switch.
4. Move the driver’s window upward until the window stalls in the full up position. Allow the window motor to stall for at least 2 second before releasing the switch.
5. Repeat step 2, 3 and 4 for the passenger’s window.
6. Verify the windows learned the calibration by operating the express down and up features on the windows.
7. Repeat this procedure if the calibration failed. If vehicle still fails, check the Driver’s Door Module (DDM) and Passenger’s Door Module (PDM) for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and correct as required.

Radio is far from monopolized. There are AM, FM, Internet, and Satellite formats. Satellite is just one conduit among others. Unlike ATT's phone service and Microsoft's OS, two products that play an integral part of society, Satellite radio is discretionary and nobody's livelihood is dependent upon it.
Moreover, pioneered products always dominate the market during the initial years, which is natural, because somebody has to introduce the new product. In the grand scheme, satellite radio is extremely new - give the market time to catch up.

No fluid leaks on the ground what so ever. It parks inside and no drips at all.
My EQ settings are right. When i switch to SAT, I had previously looked at the treble and bass thinking thats what it was, but they are correct.
06srt8satx 03-06-2007, 09:43 PM Got it back after a week in the shop. They fixed all requested items plus 1.
1. TCM flash. Whole world of difference. Excellent acceleration. Very firm shifts.
2. replaced window regulator. Now window will close with auto up.
3. A/C flash done. no varying temps anymore.
4. New radio was ordered, but new 07 sounded the same so we cancelled the one on order.
The tech performed a PCM reflash as well. This dealer has a very good tech by the name of Mike. Mission Chrysler/Jeep in San Antonio, Texas.
I guess the main concern of sluggish acceleration came from 2 things.
1. Dealership said tranny was low and stored a code. He said it must of been shipped less than full because no leaks ever!!!!
2. Bad fuel. ( i only use Super unleaded from Exxon)???
However, it is running better than it ever has.
