You should be ok pokin' the loud peddle. IMO if you want to be ultra safe change your oil before 1500miles then go crazy.

The oil form the factory has a additive in it for seals to break in properly I would leave it atleast until 2500-3000 miles as per the engineers statement, me I pulled mine at 2500 miles.

As for 500 miles its time to drop the hammer the engine is dieing for it!

I hadn't heard that. I was worried about the deposits floating around during the first few miles of breakin. Oh well mine was done around 1500. So I got dry seals. :)
