: At least Jeep has my address right...
AlexT 02-24-2007, 12:19 PM Because I got my first recall in the mail.
The software programmed into the ABS control module on your vehicle may cause the rear brakes to lock up during certain braking conditions. This could result in a loss of vehicle control and cause a crash without warning.
What kind of crash comes WITH a warning?

Se7en 02-25-2007, 07:36 PM Just got mine too...
phenwick 02-25-2007, 07:48 PM Got mine as well. This is something I haven't seen as being an issue with the JEEP owners here. Maybe it was something that arose on one of the other model lines and we happen to have the same software as those models. Who knows.
I am taking mine in on Friday for the 3K checkup and oil change. I have not received a recall letter yet. Was this a software update to correct it?
Also, any other recalls or TSBs to be aware of? I made the dealer aware of the TSB for the tire pressure monitoring, and they are looking into if there is an update for the transmission shifting.
Thank You
timster 03-12-2007, 03:43 PM never got this notice... WTF???!

Same here. No notice yet.
I was at the dealer this morning and they ran a check for recalls and nothing came up. Can someone who has received the recall, scan it and attach it in the forum (for privacy purposes, please black out your personal info).
Also they are looking into the tire pressure system warning and bad readings as well as the transmission shifting. Not optimistic at this point.
Thank You.

Look at the certification label on the side of your driver's door. The month and year is at the top, the month, date and hour of assembly is at the bottom under the bar code.
